I played PUBG and BF1 recently and i dont want to enable the vsync, but i had stuttering and screen tearing. i played dota2 and csgo without any issues. it's because my monitor or something else (like hdd, overheat, drivers, system settings, etc)? my monitor right now is LG 20M35 with 60hz. I do some research, they say it's because the monitor can't keep up with my GPU refresh rate. so i planned to buy new monitor with 144hz. Is it works? here is my spec:

Mobo : MSI B350 Tomahawk
VGA : RX 480 4gb Sapphire nitro+ OC
Ram : 2x8 GB hyperx
CPU : ryzen 5 1500X
PSU : 500w Enermax NAXN
HDD1 : 500gb
HDD2 : 1tb

my friends play pubg with 60hz monitor (LG 25UM58-P 25' IPS) and have no issue. please help me i don't want to waste a lot of money without fixing my problem. thanks all.

Solution
The problem is in your graphics card (the origin of the video signal), but different monitors react differently. The problem is that the refresh rates of the monitor and graphics card are out of sync with each other. I would think that a 144 Hz would help (but 144 Hz monitors are equipped with G-Sync for example so it isn't a cure all).

Increasing or decreasing the monitor refresh rates in the Display adapter properties may help (or may not).

Here is a video on the topic.

You can limit the fps to 60 and then the screentearing will go away. It happens when the fps goes over the max refresh rate of the monitor or under it.

Also you should really replace that psu there so your system isn't at risk of randomly dying due to a terrible psu.

limiting the fps without turning on vsync? its still the same. the stuttering and screen tearing still happen. what if i buy a new monitor at 144hz?

what if i buy 60hz monitor with freesync since i use AMD radeon? would it help?

That would be a good idea unless you plan on changing to Nvidia cards soon.

I chose the video because it does discuss AMD cards.
