What's the difference between mother boards, "Asus Z97-A: Windows 8.1 ready" and Asus Z97-A: Windows 10 ready"?, i cant find 8.1 specs anywhere. I know one is designed to handle windows 8.1 and one is for windows 10... but what is actually different? i run windows 7 on the 8.1 mobo, but if i decided to get an upgrade would it be recommended that i upgrade my mobo to the windows 10 version?

There's no such thing as windows this or windows that mobo. It's just a question of driver availability. Just go to Asus site and see which drivers are available. Probably for both.

It's just marketing fluff. It's the same board in a new box maybe with a bios update you don't need.
Just download the windows 10 drivers for it from the asus website when you put win 10 on it and you are good to go.
