what gaming feature does the nintendo switch have? could i play dvds and cds on it? does it support streaming services? what other nintendo games can nintendo switch play with out repurchasing the game or downloading it?

The Switch uses proprietary game cartridges and SD-cards for storage. No CD/DVD/BD. For non-Switch games that you already own, the only way to play them on the Switch is to re-purchase them for the Switch if available as either a physical download or Nintendo Store download.

For the rest, you'd have to check what is on Nintendo's walled garden for the Switch.
