Hey guys,
I'm looking to play League of Legends at 1080p low-medium settings at stable 60fps, however I am willing to compromise and play it at very low settings with stable 60fps; I'll also be browsing and watching videos, as well as doing my school work on it. This is my setup that I'm looking to build:
Intel - Pentium Gold G5400 3.7GHz Dual-Core Processor
Cooler Master - Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler
MSI - Z370-A PRO ATX LGA1151 Motherboard
Patriot - Viper 4 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR4-3000 Memory
Western Digital - Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
Gigabyte - GeForce GT 1030 2GB Video Card
NZXT - S340 (White) ATX Mid Tower Case
Corsair - Builder 500W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply
I live in the UK and I'm hoping to build this, because I think it will meet my demands and as it is close to my budget of £400. Furthermore, I'm not too fussy about SSDs, as I think that it will make the price of the whole system too much (maybe), as I can't really seem to find cheap SSDs. Additionally, I'm not looking to upgrade this until like 5-6 years later. 16gb of RAM is quite expensive, but 4gb is too low in my opinion, so I think 8gb of DDR4 would be fine; also, I believe that 2 sticks are better than 1, so I will only really look for 2x4gb ram (or 2x8gb, if I come across an astonishing deal). Most importantly, I do not want to buy any second hand or pre-owned parts.
Finally, would it be possible to play LoL at Very High settings with stable 60fps with this setup? I ask because, I don't want to put too much stress on the components, as I want them to last a long time. The reason why I chose to use the NZXT case is because, I want to have my components get lots of cooling done and don't want them to overheat or something and reduce their lifespan.
Moreover, would all the parts actually fit? I used PCpartpicker to find the components and it said there were no issues, however it also stated that 'some physical dimension restrictions cannot (yet) be automatically checked, such as cpu cooler / RAM clearance with modules using tall heat spreaders'.
So guys, do you think this setup will be able to meet my demands? Are there any better parts that I can get at the same price?
Last but not least: Would I be able to play Skyrim (not the remastered one) or The Witcher 3 on this? If so at what settings for each game (medium to low, or just low at 1080p) - for these two games I do not mind playng at 30fps.
