I just installed a new motherboard, cpu, gpu, and ram into my old computer and I'm pretty sure I connected everything like the manual told me. When I plug it up to my HDMI TV and turn it on the fans start running and the lights turn on like they did when it worked but nothing will display on the TV. Any idea whats the problem?

additional info:
Im using windows 10 home, i5 8400, gtx 1060 6gb, and a gigabyte b360m ds3h mobo.

You will need to list your specs like so:
CPU:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:

Since you speak of an upgrade, there should be two sets of the above, old and new.
You didn't mention the make and model of your PSU and it's subsequent age.
Does the system power up when breadboarded?

In certain configuration, the HDMI will not display anything until the graphic cards driver has been loaded.

I have a GTX1060 connected to three monitors, a Samsung through DVI, a LG through HDMI, and a Dell through DP. And only the Samsung show anything during POST/Windows loading screen; the LG, which is configured as the main monitor, only start showing anything at the Windows login screen.

Old:
AMD FX4300
MSI 760GM-P34
8gb ram ddr3
2x 1TB HDD
gtx 750ti
700W evga

New:
i5 8400
Gigabyte B360M ds3h
8gb ram ddr4
2x 1TB HDD (unchanged)
gtx 1060 6gb
700W evga

I might try breadboarding. Also I think I might need a different monitor with DVi instead of hdmi connectors.

I was wondering if that was the reason, in that case I'll have to dig around and find my old monitor

Make sure only one hard drive is connected

choose your disk drive as the primary boot device in bios

restart with the windows disk in the drive

or use a usb stick to install windows
