Just built a new pc and everytime I try connecting to the router through Wi-Fi and enter the password it just says can't connect to this network. My drivers are up to date. I've tried reinstalling the drivers, adding the connection manually, made sure the the connection had the same security protocol and was the same network type. I've restarted the modem and router and still nothing. I've released and renewed the ip. When I enter the cmd and type in ipconfig, all it says is media disconnected from all of the adapters including Wi-Fi, Ethernet and Bluetooth. How do I get on the internet? It's really frustrating and I just want it to work at this point.

Have you tried going through the onboard Ethernet. It might be a problem of an icompatible wifi chip. Is it built in to the board or is it a separate card?

Does the motherboard have on-board Wi-Fi or are you using a card/USB connector to connect to the wireless network? What are the model numbers of the wireless router and device you're trying to use to connect?
