I was wondering if a ryzen 5 2600x would be good with a gtx 1070ti. I am looking to get a 1070ti for a big upgrade and also some future compatibilty. ty

What resolution is your monitor? At 1080p, an Intel 8700K or 8600K might give you higher FPS, in case your monitor is high refresh rate. But if you only have a 60 Hz monitor, or a 1440p/4K monitor, then the Ryzen chip is absolutely fine.
