I know this has been asked before, but the answer just wasn't very helpful to be.

Here are the motherboard and RAM I'd like to get. The mobo is chosen because it's inexpensive and has 2 M.2 slots.

In the previously referenced question, why wouldn't you just get two sets of 3200MHz (or 3000 in my case), instead of one 2666MHz and one 3200MHz?

Solution
Yeah that ram will be fine. The ram needs to be matching speed and latency, always better to get the ram in a kit if possible.

To use your RAM at the rated speed you will need to enable XMP in the bios, which essentially overclocks the cpus memory controller to run at the speed of the faster ram (The 8350k is designed for DDR4 2400).

I think in your older thread, the user was just offering you two options, not suggesting you use ram of different speeds.

Solution
i3-8350K
Supported memory: DDR4-2400
Higher frequencies are commonly used when overclocking.

Reasons for not using multiple memory kits:
No guarantee to be compatible together
Never been tested together
Such combinations may cause memory to be no longer able to operate at rated specifications or to be unable to boot the system.
