As the title said, going to buy a case with 145mm height of its CPU Cooler, i don't know if this height is good enough or bad ... so any recommendations?

**Also** I'm little knowledge at that, if i said for example a cpu cooler has dimensions of 135X80X154.5mm, how to retrieve the height of the cooler from these dimensions and use it to get knowledge about the minimum height in the case that should fit for that cooler ?

Solution
They used a h7 in this review

Youll get that warning on partpicker if there are no confirmed completed builds with that combo, ignore it.

Your build is nice , you should change the Psu though , the mwe 500w is poor quality.

You need to add at least 1 x120mm intake fan to the case (2 would be better)

145mm is fairly low. Most mid tower cases offer up to 160-165mm. Most coolers don't go beyond that.

And regarding the dimensions - unless it's specified somewhere, you will have to apply some common sense.
Look at how tall it is. Most coolers are tall, so height should be the biggest value.
In your example, the cooler would be 154.5 mm tall. But I can't be certain without looking at it.

Thanks for your reply, so the biggest number is the height, here we have 154.5mm height, so i should at least find a case with a cpu cooler height 155mm, Am i right ?? and should i have to find a case with minimum height 160mm for its cooler to fit any kind of coolers ??

The biggest number won't necessarily always be the height. But it generally is.

I would look for a case that offers more cooler height. That way you're not being limited.
Or choose a cooler, then look for a case that can fit that cooler.

There are decent coolers with heights lower or equal to 145mm.

They tend to be downblowers though or 92mm fan models.

Exceptions
Cryorig h7 -120mm fan tower ,145mm height.
Deepcool gammaxx 300 ,s40,200t - 120mm fan tower,138mm height.

Most other 120mm towers are 155-160mm high, 140mm towers anywhere between 160-180mm high.

Nothing wrong, with a slimmer case if you can fit. Sufficient cooler in it,for the cpu, you're using.

Locked Intel's & 95w Ryzen cpu's ?
A gammaxx 300 can handle those easily

Thanks for that info, actually me building up a gaming pc, going to buy Cougar MX310 case, cpu will be i5 8400, not thinking to overclock but maybe a little bit in the future but for now NO :) i didn't get enough info about the height of the cpu cooler in this case but i think its 145mm ... any recommendations or just stock cooler is enough ? this case btw has a lot of advantages, only drawback not enough information for its cpu cooler height.

^ 8400 can't be overclocked anyway.

Stock cooler is enough just a little noisy under heavy load.

Should you want to replace it in the future there are plenty of coolers that will fit that are massively superior to the stock one (aswell as those I mentioned)

Always use parts that have high amounts of review.

In my opinion, you shouldn't spend extra on RGB RAMs. get normal ones. You can always buy RGB sticks later

If you're not planning to do RAID, get one 2TB Hard drive. It cheaper and takes less space.

Buy an SSD for your windows. something like: https://pcpartpicker.com/product/mPgPxr/a-data-ultimate-su800-128gb-25-solid-state-drive-asu800ss-128gt-c The speed is worth it.

If you can, get win 10.

Ditch the cooler. You can get one next year as you really don't need it unless you have sensitive ears while living in a warm room.

Your PSU is non-modular. It has all the cables but looks like trouble. Get something like this if you want quality but it doesn't have any cables. You get just the ones you need without overcrowding you case https://pcpartpicker.com/product/qYTrxr/evga-power-supply-220g20550y1
