Hi,
I have a Hp xw6600 workstation and i've been wondering if a MSI GTX 1060 AERO ITX 6GB OC (it's the single fan one) would be compatible with this machine.
I do not mind bottlenecks of the cpu because i plan in building a new computer but since my budget is really low I need to do it slowly. That's why i want this card. I know that this computer only has pci-e 2.0 and the card requires pci-e 3.0 but the card is backwards compatible right ? Any info that you might need just ask for it.
Full specs:
Operating System
Windows 10 Pro N 64-bit
CPU
Intel Xeon E5450 @ 3.00GHz (x2)
Harpertown 45nm Technology
RAM
16,0GB FB-DDR2 @ 333MHz <------ i think the 333MHz is wrong.
Motherboard
Hewlett-Packard 0A9Ch (XU1 PROCESSOR)
Graphics
1023MB NVIDIA GeForce GT 710 (MSI)
Storage
465GB TOSHIBA DT01ACA050 (SATA )
Optical Drives
TSSTcorp DVD-ROM TS-H353B
PS: Sorry if anything has bad grammar. I'm not the best with english.
