Hi,
I have a Hp xw6600 workstation and i've been wondering if a MSI GTX 1060 AERO ITX 6GB OC (it's the single fan one) would be compatible with this machine.
I do not mind bottlenecks of the cpu because i plan in building a new computer but since my budget is really low I need to do it slowly. That's why i want this card. I know that this computer only has pci-e 2.0 and the card requires pci-e 3.0 but the card is backwards compatible right ? Any info that you might need just ask for it.
Full specs:

Solution
That's a pretty old system with a legacy BIOS. However, the GTX 1060 is both UEFI and legacy compatible, so likely all will be fine. Here is a compatibility list for the XW6600. Notice that the GTX 1050 Ti is on the list, so the 1060 should be fine as well. But will suffer CPU bottleneck due to the Xeon E5450.
