Mysterious Cable (coming from 20+4 pin power cable)

I have a 24 pin to 20+4 pin power cable for my SST-SX650-G PSU. However, there is 4 pin cable regressing from the 20 pin side of the 20+4 pin cable end with the abbreviation “DST” on the side. Does this cable plug somewhere else on the motherboard? Back into the PSU? I really want to know what to do with this thing so I don’t damage any of my components plugging it into random stuff. Thanks!

Solution
I am using the GIgabyte Gigabyte LGA1151 Intel Z170 Mini-ITX DDR4 Motherboards GA-Z170N-Gaming 5. It seems strange that a 4 pin would come from the motherboard side to route power elsewhere on the board, especially with 24 pins already online in the motherboard 24 pin input.

I am using the 650 watt version of the PSU.

Edit: everything from the psu manual and online would indicate that the extra 4 pin coming from the 20+4 pin side is not actually there in spec. This extra 4 pin is not the 4 pin that attaches to the 20 pin to create the 20+4 pin cable, it’s another 4 pin cable emerging from 4 of the 20 slot holeson the 20+4pin side of the 24pin cable.

The manuals will tell you exactly how to plug in each cable. Cross reference the psu manual with the motherboard manual. The 4 pin was added later to supply more power for pcie lanes, and you'll need it if the motherboard supports it.

What motherboard are you using?

That is the Vsense (i.e. voltage sensor) cable. You connect that cable to the SENSE-4PIN connector on the PSU's modular panel. The PSU uses the detected voltages to perform voltage regulation.
