Heya all!

I'm consisdering to upgrafe my rig and buy a i-8700k.

I'm not sure tho which Mobo/ram/cooler I should get...

I was aiming at something lile :
Asrock Taichi https://m.newegg.com/products/N82E16813157792
G.Skill CL14 3200
https://m.newegg.com/products/N82E16820232485
Noctua d14
https://m.newegg.com/products/9SIA9PV3YE9689

I'm fairly new in water cooling (I don't wat to put a shit ton of $$$ on it) buy if you have any suggestion go ahead! I've seen a couple "closed loop system" around 100-200 (nzxt/corsair)....

Also, i'll have to buy a new GPU (interested in 1070-1080ti). I mainly play games (Gta/pubg/monster hunter/WoW/Overwatch/Witcher) and my screen is a Benq 144hz -1080p. Is the 1080ti an overkill? I could probably wait for the new gpu coming out soon too I guess...

Thanks!

I am using GSkill RipJaws V with mine, just raised the front fan to clear the ram.

I agree with you jankerson, everything looks good.

Markus1337, I personally would NOT recommend water cooling. I have a dual radiator non-closed loop setup from one of my earlier setups sitting on my shelf. Personally if you like everything to take twice as long to perform within your computer and have maintenance like you own a car go for water cooling. Otherwise not worth it. Closed loop would be easier to manage than my setup but they can still have their own issues. Heatsink/fan is way easier to maintain.

Last time I check the DH15 wasn't fitting in my case (corsair 650D). I might have to relook to be sure. Agree with you too, i'll propably wait next week to see if we have more info for GPUs.

Thanks for your quick reply!

MAX cooler height is 185mm for your case.

Yes a NH D15 will fit easy.

I think the "problem" was the 32mm clearance for the ram with the D15. Maybe I could install the fan a bit more "up" or go with low profile ram... might have to check some video on that. From what I understand I could get to the 44mm needed by the G.Skill, but that would give me around 8mm clearance with case.
