eset malware detection

eset recently has missed several viruses. any suggestions for alternative antivirus which isn't overbearingly protective?

A virus isn't the same thing as malware. Same as a Bacterial infection in your body isn't the same as a virus.

Malwarebytes anti-malware is my go to program.

I've used it for about 6 years, and I've never had any issues with it.
