Do I need to disable the integrated graphics on my Windows 10 desktop when adding a discrete graphics card? If so, do I do that before physically installing the card, after install or after downloading the new card's drivers? Can't seem to find this for Windows 10 users. Thanks!

Solution
No need.
When you install the discrete graphics card, windows will detect it.
It will run at a reduced resolution without any drivers.
That allows you to install the latest drivers directly form nvidia/amd.

And, no need to disable the integrated adapter either.
Running both integrated and discrete adapters is a common thing for laptops.

Took less than 5 min to install card and drivers. I didn't disable the integrated GPU before installing the discrete GPU and no issues so far. Actually, when I look in Device Manager/Display Adapters, the integrated GPU is no longer listed. Interesting to note.
