I was just wondering, would it be worth it to get the 1080? or even higher? with my pc specs
my specs are

Intel i5-8600k ( 5.00 Ghz overclocked )
Mobo Asus Z375 gaming mother board
Cool master Cpu liquid cooler ( 1 fan ) + 4 extra fan.
M.2 Hard drive
Gtx 1060 6 gb graphics card gaming x.
750W Thermaltake Toughpower Grand RGB Gold Fully Modular PSU
16gb Corsair Vengeance RGB DDR4 3000MHz RAM

And last question, If i end up getting a gaming monitor , would free-sync work on a GTX ?

1080 is a great option for 1080p high refresh rate (120+ Hz). For 1440p also if some sacrifices done on settings for 80+ fps.
Great card if you get it below $400

At the moment i play 1080 p mostly in high or ultra, most games. but the reason i want to upgrade is to go into the 1440p games.
