Replacing RAM for the first time(help needed)

I am going to replace my current Corsair Vengeance 2x4(8GB) memory with another 16GB kit.16GB kit has different CAS,but same speed and voltage...

How do i do it? Do i just take old kit out and stick another one in or should i reset Bios settings first?I have never done this before, so i would like to know what steps shoild i take to ensure 100% safety.

Replacing ram is very easy.
Insert the new sticks in the appropriate slots(check your motherboard manual)
At power on, you will get into bios at default 1333 speed.
You may want to select a xmp setting to 1600 speed.

When you boot, the motherboard will detect the ram and proceed to windows.

Ram must be matched, so I imagine that two out of a matched 4 stick kit will be ok.
Why are you using only 2 out of 4?

Just for grins, try adding your old ram to see if it works. If it does, you will have 24gb.

Test ram with memtest86.
You should be able to complete a full pass with NO errors.

Motherboard is ASrock z75 Pro3 and memory is Corsair CMZ32GX3M4X1600C10 Vengeance 32GB (4x8GB) DDR3 1600 MHz (PC3 12800) But only 2 modules out of that kit.I want to run in dual channel mode

So is this plug and play or not?i want to be 100% sure that everything will work

Scout_03 i am currently using CMZ8GX... 2x4(8Gb) Corsair Vengeance 1600 without any problems

Geofelt Dealer sold 2 modules separately and i wanted only 16 GB

Sorry I'm writing from mobile and can't use reply system
