Howdy.

I have come across a problem when playing Fallout 4 and some other games, I get a low frame rate and on occasions lag spikes and crashes.

At first I assumed it was mods with Fallout 4 so I disabled all my mods, and started a new game and still lag spikes and crashing. I have even removed the game completely by deleting everything from its folder and reinstalled it again. and moved Fallout 4 over to its own 120GB SSD. Which has only improved loading times.

(Steam Also)

My PC Specs. I assume are outdated.

Windows 7 64-Bit.

MOTHERBOARD: ASUS M5A97 R2.0

CPU: AMD FX 350 Eight Core Processor

CPU COOLER: Cooler Master HYPER 212X

GPU: MSI Areo GeForce GTX 1080

POWER SUPPLY: Thermaltake DPS G Series 650 W

RAM STICKS: 16GB RAM x2 Ballistix Sport & Two others i am unfamilliar with.

OTHER: Asus Xonar DG Sound Card

Would I have to go into the BIOS and change settings around there?

Thank you.

What are you using to monitor your temps? I know there was an issue with FX cpus reporting wrong readings with certain software. If it is indeed over 65c have you tried to improve your temps at all? Have you checked your cooler is operating and is seated properly?

I am using the Asus AI Suite 2.

The only thing I've tried to do to improve temps is to turn up fan speed.

The CPU fans are running and are in place.
