Updated Arma to play with a friend, game froze and hard locked computer the first time while loading in. Reset via power button, tried again and same thing. Now I keep getting sent to the bios after the splash screen loads or the splash screen keeps resetting. It's all newish hardware, less than a year old, haven't recently messed with anything to cause bad connections.

Not sure exactly but it sounds like a failing drive. You could try and reinstall windows, if it happens again you know the drive is bad. It's making it to bios so that is good ,for whatever reason your boot drive is no longer operating correctly and needs to be addressed obviously.
