Ok I decision to make. I am about to build a new PC mine is outdated and I can not even upgrade it(truly). I have 2 lists in PC part picker, One AMD and the other Intel. Trying to keep it as close to $1500 as I can. This is going to be a multipurpose PC. I will stream from it , gaming of course and last make music. Just a little Photoshop to the point where its no big deal. Here is AMD https://pcpartpicker.com/list/YvNJRJ now here is Intel https://pcpartpicker.com/list/PbFhBb please let me know your thoughts

Solution
Even though a 8700K user who loves the stellar performance, the Ryzen build will be better as you have a mighty 1080ti attached to it...That will make a big difference in performance over the 1080..

this is the base I give you, no way I would buy a 1080 ti now for 700 dollars while you see 1080s on sale for 350 dollars.... I would buy that defenetly...

See that is what I was thinking. I mean I honestly have no loyalty for a CPU, Which ever one is best and is affordable without a big sacrifice. I mainly wanted to get others thoughts because really it is a tight race. The 8700k but the 1080(which i can overclock to match the TI base clock) or AMD which is truly like a 5-10% less in performance compared to Intel and get the 1080Ti and over clock that and leave the 1080 overclocked in the dust.

I agree with you on this however my fear would be the TI dropped right after I built my PC and then got buyers remorse

Absolutely agree. Some times I just can't understand the whole AMD versus Intel thing...Whatever CPU is the best for what I can afford at the time is the one I go for be it a cheaper AMD or if I have more money Intel.

As to the 1080 versus 1080ti, there is a very large performance difference between the two..On a side note, I have the 8700K matched to a MSI GTX 1080 Gaming X...and it's great.....a 1080ti would be a lot better though or if I dream a 2080ti and then I wake up!!!!

Hey all, just wanted some answers on specs and figured I could try my luck on existing forums before posting my own.
Looked at a couple and have some specs on some preowned systems at similar prices. I know the very basics on PCs but that's it. I just need it to stream my console play, and maybe edit videos for Youtube. I've heard just streaming, you can get away with a pretty cheap system.
1. VS450 Corsair Power supply (80 white), Gigabyte Aorus RX580 8gb, 6gb of RAM, Seagate Barracuda 500gb HDD, Gigabyte B85m Motherboard, Intel Core i5-4460, Running Windows 7 pro. Would buy new case for it.
2. MOBO: Gigabyte GA-890GPA-UD3H, CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 3.4GHZ, RAM: GSkill Trident 8GB, GPU: MSI Nvidia GTX 460 HAWK 1GB, HD: WD 1TB, SSD: Intel 120GB, PS: Corsair 620W, DRIVE: LG DVD Burner, CASE: NZXT Phantom Tower w/ Fan Control, COOLING: XSPC Watercooling System, FANS: 5x Silent GELID. (know nothing about AMD CPUs)
3. i5 6500 3.2GHz turbo to 3.6GHz, 8GB Team Elite DDR4 2400Mhz, Asus Strix GTX 970 4GB, AsRock B250M Pro4, Samsung 960 EVO 250GB NVMe, Cooler Master Hyper 212, Corsair VS450, NZXT case with side window, 2x Corsair 140mm fans (intake) 1x SilverStone 140mm fan (exhaust) 1x Corsair 120mm fan (exhaust)
4. CPU: I7-2600S 3.8GHZ, Graphics Card: GTX 960 2GB, Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-H77M-D3H, RAM: 2 x 4GB G.Skill Sniper, Storage: WD 120GB SSD and a 1TB WD HDD, Case: Thermaltake Case (would change case)
5. CPU: i7 3770k, CPU COOLER: Corsair h80i, MOBO: ASUS TUF Z77, RAM: 16GB G.SKILL RIPJAW X, GRAPHICS: Radeon HD6950, BOOT DRIVE: 128gb SSD, POWER SUPPLY: Corsair HX650, CASE: some thermaltake aero series thing (would change case)

What do you think? Would they do the job fine? Or should I look at slightly more expensive systems? Money isn't an issue. Just think it stupid to buy an overkill system that I won't utilise. Won't be gaming on it at all. Streaming and small video edits. Thank you :)
