I build my PC last April. Starting with August, my PC is giving notification every hour or so, sooner sometimes. Those notification are like: which device did you plug in? With 'Front speaker out' highlighted, messages on headset....
I have reformatted my PC twice. I did it again 2 days ago and I re-installed the new Win 10 October version 1809. I have the latest drivers, the last BIOS.
All components appear to be working perfectly

I was told by ASUS to remove the CMOS battery, I did, I was told to remove my graphic card, I did, and I still have the same problem. Now it is asking me which peripheral did I just plug in? The sound will turn off and I have to go back into the Realtek control panel.

Some one has an idea? Could it be the sound chip?
I think that ASUS said I would have to send my motherboard for repair? This sounds so ridiculous. I will be 6 months without my PC???????

It appears your memory is for overclocking, but you are not overclocking the 8700k.
It also appears you don't know how to set the memory parameters in BIOS:
Memory clock speed
DRAM timings
DRAM voltage

Core i7-8700K
Supported memory: DDR4-2666
