New PC with amd or intel

Hello, I'm debating with AMD or Intel. I'm using 1080p 144hz monitor and have a 1080ti on hand. I made 2 builds.
1. ryzen 2700X cost 890 CAD 2.i5 9600k build cost 830 CAD. If go with 8600k will be 780 CAD. With 8700k is 980 CAD.
What you guys think?
Most likely for gaming. And not planning to upgrade within 5 years lol.

I would go for the ryzen build. Games are starting to utilize more cores, and I'm betting that 6 cores will be the minimum in a couple or few years. Also, AMD announced that they are going to continue supporting the AM4 form factor, so you will probably have an upgrade path for the future. That's coming from someone with an 8600k btw. I wish I had bought Ryzen after all the recent announcements.

thank you! i hv orderd the 2700 wit 16 bucks less coz 2700x was sold out...not the best deal but im still happy about it :)
