So my PC randomly froze, only the audio could still be heard from the Youtube video I was watching, but I had no control and couldnt even use Ctrl Alt Delete and didnt get an error screen, so I turned off my PC.

After that I tried booting it up again, which worked, I saw the familiar ASUS slogan, but after that just a black screen. My monitor did receive a connection, as it usually turns off quite fast if no signal is detected, but it stayed on. I thought my GPU might have gotten fried because of the fact that the image froze but not the audio in the crash, so I swapped my DVI from my GPU to the mobo so it would sue the Intel GPU, which didn't help. After that I tried booting onto a Windows Install USB device, to see whether my SSD died, but after the same thing happened, I got into the bios with ease, booted onto the USB, saw the Windows logo and loading animation, they faded out to blak when done loading, but again a black screen. Even booting in Windows Safe mode didn't work, the same stuff happens.

I have no clue what to try aswell, I've checked my RAM and CPU in the bios, they work just like they used to before, I've tried using a different (but the same model) monitor, which also didn't do anything. I've even rewired pretty much everything (needed to do a little calbe management anyway) but that didn't do anything either.

If anyone has any idea on what I could try next, please do leave a reply as I am utterly confused.

Greetings.

Specs:
Asus z170 pro gaming

I have tried booting without a GPU, doesn't change anything, and I've already cycled through multiple sata cables, but he also won't boot to a Windows install USB, so that can't be the problem.

My PSU is a Corsair VS450.
