My Transend External HDD is acting up.

Hi there. My external hard drive (Transcend Storejet 25m3) is acting up. It reads perfectly fine, but when I try and copy anything over it doesn't work. I've tried defrag, anti-virus/malware scans and check disk, nothing works.

The indicator light flashed but won't transfer anything.

I do a lot of work with drives.
I have had drives fail in the way you are describing.
So this is my opinion, because I've seen drives fail just like this.
I admit that I might be wrong in this case...but that's what I think based on what I've seen.

What's confusing me it that it happened so suddenly. At first it was working fine, then about two days ago, I tried to copy over a file and it was only transfering at 350 KB/s. Now today it just decided it won't copy, move or delete files.

I can still open and view them, but the can not be read. The HD has not made a single sound, nor has it ever done this before.
