I like gaming and I’m think about upgrading my cpu but would it make that huge of a difference in gaming and would I need a new you first to keep up, 1070 gtx and idk how computers work too well

9700k is quite a powerful cpu and much more than yours. But as mentioned, today you don't need to worry about upgrades, as long as you're satisfied with your performance.

Of course changing display unit may push for such an upgrade (144hz 27"+)
