In the picture is the AMD Athlonx2 3600+ and after opened the package we found there is a hair in the CPU plastic case. And then we found it was in the CPU and we can lift the CPU by it. Sp we photographed it. Though the CPU can work well, we still dont want to see this kind of things.

Its not a hair. Its the new "AMD/ATI Anti Static positioning Device". This way you never have to touch the component. If your new processor didn't come with one, request an RMA.

At least the hair looks quite long.

I found a white, short hair between my 8800GTX processor and heatsink.

I like to think it was an eyebrow hair ...

This is just another attempt by AMD to keep up with Intel....

next month their going to release the quad hair model, multiple colors. It is going to be an exciting day! Go here to read the article www.AMD&Hygiene.com

Another service that NewEgg can provide... CPU trims. $14.95 plus free shipping. Keep you CPU in a neat and trimmed working order.

That is seriously funny, but I wonder how deep in the proc that thing is? Obviously it happened at build stage for it to be stuck so bad you can pick it up. I wonder if it will affect performance at all.

Looks like this cpu could only run single threaded applications.

Indeed, a very hairy situation for AMD.
