Hey everyone, I ordered the CM storm scout for my build and will be sending the GTX 470 I bought back to get either a GTX 570 or Radeon 6950/6970..
Anyway the question is will the 6950/70 fit inside a CM Storm Scout? The Scout has 10.5" maximum limit for a GPU.
I'd really hate to get another GPU then have to send it back because it wouldn't fit.
According to almost all the reviews I read the 6950/6970 are 10.5" but according to newegg.com and XFX's website, the XFX 6950 is 11.3".
According to Hardwarecanucks.com the card is 10.75".
The absolute best reply I'm looking for here would be someone who has this case and 1 of these cards to verify it fits without modding anything, although if anyone can verify the exact length or tell me it will fit that'd be fantastic.
Currently I'm wanting to buy the Sapphire 6950.

thanks

Solution
I done it to my CM Storm Scout with a MSi HD6950...

I just used a cutting disc on dremel then rounded it a touch with a sanding one.

Hope that helps,
Si

I'd love to hear if it fit if you went to check that out!
Although I do believe the GTX 570 will fit, its 10.5". Theres a way to get longer cards in but you have to remove the HDD rack, which isn't just screwed in there.

6950 does not fit in cm storm scout. if you find just the fight angle, you can get it into the case correctly so the interface to the card is lined up to a pci slot; but from there I could not push the card down into the slot. There is a small ridge on the HD casing of the case and it blocks the card from going down properly. It is literally that close to fitting. I am using p6x58d-e with 3 different pcie slots; none of them fit but I dont think any other mb is going to have any luck; that ridge on the hd casing etends down far enough to block any of the expansion slots. returning 6950 :(
