Will a clean install of Windows 10 Pro 64 bit fix error code (0xc0000142)? The program is Autodesk Inventor Professional 2014. It worked fine on Windows 7 Pro 64 bit. Thanks!
You will find that others are having this issue on the Autodesk forum. Here is the link...http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/inventor-customization/inventor-2014-is-not-compatible-with-windows-10/td-p/5566189
Looks like one of them found a solution by downloading an Autodesk update and installing it.
I tried both solutions you suggested. I still get the same error code. Some people have told me a clean installation from the Windows 10 iso file I burned to a disc will work. I appreciate your help. Do you think a clean install will help? I don't want to go through the hassle of a clean install unless it will fix the problem.

Have you tried rebooting after setting it to run in compatibility mode? A clean install is always a good idea too though. Here's a tutorial for that if you decide to do it. It's also possible that it simply is not supported by Windows 10 yet.

I had the same problem, just install sp1 for inventor 2014
I would definetly like to see more answer from this because this problem popped on my Dell yesterday. I did a full clean. Didn't help, the error came back again today.
