Earlier this year, we brought you news of the UltraGear 25G590B gaming monitor, which LG proudly claimed as the world’s first 1080p gaming monitor to offer a 1,000 Hz refresh rate. At the time, LG said that pricing and availability for the 25G590B would arrive in the second half of 2026, and, true to its word, we now have details. According to the company, the monitor, which is currently available for preorder, is priced at $999.99. Looking at it a different way, you’re paying $1 per Hz if you want to be the first on the block with this segment leader.

What person thinks this is necessary? You're not getting 1000FPS on any modern game.

That's a hell of a lot of money, for a small (by today's standards) monitor with a pointlessly high refresh rate.

Completely pointless. Marketing is out of control apparently.

I think it will be good if they make them in different sizes/resolutions. You could buy a 1000Hz 'preferred monitor size' and not need to upgrade it. As your PC/video card gets faster and does more FPS, the monitor will handle it.

It's actually plausible with 4x/6x/8x frame generation. Whether or not it's worthwhile is another story.
