This is a huge price drop for a display that was priced at nearly $600 less than a month ago. The UltraGear OLED 27GX700A-B launched last year and comes with LG's 4th-generation Primary RGB Tandem OLED panel, which the company claims can reach up to 1,500 nits of peak brightness. It also uses less power than previous OLED monitor generations, which should help improve your chances against disruptive burn-in.
This 27-inch OLED display from LG features a max 2,560 x 1,400 resolution for gaming at 1440p. It has an ultra-fast 280Hz refresh rate, ships with both Nvidia G-Sync and AMD FreeSync support, and has a fully adjustable height, tilt, swivel and pivot stand.
This is a 27-inch display, which means you'll get an ultra-sharp 1440p picture compared to larger displays at the same resolution. Speaking of resolution, this display can hit 2,560 x 1,440, and comes with a fast 280 Hz refresh rate.
The refresh rate matters for a gaming monitor like this one, because it ensures that fast-paced action appears smooth with minimal motion blur. You're also able to benefit from Nvidia G-Sync and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro support, which will completely eliminate screen tearing and stuttering by synchronizing the display's refresh rate with your graphics card.
Ultimately, though, you're going to be wowed by the upgrade from an LCD to an OLED panel. Specs-wise, this comes with DisplayHDR True Black 500 and UL Perfect Black certification, ensuring true black levels to improve visual depth and the quality of shadows in dark scenes. It has a contrast ratio of 1,500,000:1, covering 98.5% of the DCI-P3 color gamut, and delivering color accuracy of Delta E ≤ 2. What this means is you're getting vibrant visuals with lifelike realism, which'll make the games you play extra immersive.
As far as ports go, you're getting two HDMI 2.1 and one DisplayPort 1.4 connections, along with a built-in USB hub. There's also a 2.5mm aux connector for your headphones, which includes DTS Headphone:X support, which can simulate 3D surround sound with up to 11 channels using standard stereo headphones. The monitor can be adjusted to suit your ergonomics, too, with a built-in stand that can be adjusted for height, tilt, swivel, and pivot.
This LG monitor also comes with built-in features to help protect your OLED panel, including automated panel care cycles, pixel cleaning, and screen shift to avoid common burn-in scenarios. You also get a two-year warranty with this monitor for additional peace of mind.
The $399 sale price for this 27-inch LG UltraGear OLED 27GX700A-B gaming monitor is a seriously good price and one you can't ignore if you need a display upgrade. It's the best-priced OLED at this size and with a refresh rate this high. This limited-time Amazon deal won't be around for long, however, so you'll need to snap it up fast if you want to secure one for yourself.
