The GeForce RTX 3090 may no longer be one of the best graphics cards. However, it can still compete with the top performers today with a little help from its younger sibling, the GeForce RTX 3050. Recently, a resourceful gaming enthusiast who goes by the name quziwuzzi explained on Reddit that they paired these two Ampere-based graphics cards and used Lossless Scaling technology to dramatically boost their combined performance, achieving up to 144 FPS at 4K (3840x2160) resolution.

I tried the same thing using Lossless Scaling with my 5080 + 3050 but there was a very noticable latency. Personally I don't think it's worth it.

Fake frames does not equal actual frames. Spending $7 on a latency increase is bad, suggesting to your reader base that this is a good idea is wild

Don't listen to the above, it depends what game your playing and what you are doing. And it works brilliant. Especially on old 30fps locked games, running them at 60fps feels unreal. Even using it on emulators for PS3, PS4, 360 it feels mint.

Lossless Scaling is trash, don't waste your time and money. It adds noticable latency and quality is very hit and miss, it doesn't even work with every game as people claim. I only got it working on two games where it actually looked better than without, but it's not worth the hassle and latency for them.

Native DLSS, XeSS, or even FSR are the only way to go for upscaling and frame gen. If your game doesn't support any of those then just deal with it, there is no magic fix.

No matter the combo wouldn't the primary GPU be running at x8 instead of x16 with a 2nd GPU. I can't see how that's good.
