Nvidia first debuted DLSS 5 earlier this year to a strong, critical response. The upscaling tech was almost slammed by some press and enthusiasts for overstepping its boundaries and going too far with AI.

Still a bit of uncanny valley possibly, but it's hard to tell in still images.

But whatever, I'm sure they've already started work on DLSS 6, whereby every clothing entity will be turned into a leather jacket. Along with a slider that imbues other entities with a little leather jacket; guns, bollards, cars, trees, the sun, spaceships, food mixers, fireballs, alligators, cows and lambs. And human(oids).

The model should have a LOT of training, considering all the pictures and videos available.

Leather jackets and all other forms of baryonic matter are made of the same subatomic particles. Everything is a leather jacket to some degree.

Looking forward to this. The haters can pound sand because this is coming no matter how much they whine about it.

TH, for all that is holy, proofread before submitting.

and if you are speed up writing articles using ai...at least proof read its output slowly as its a growing issue with issues such as unclear phrasing (yet making a statement) missing words, or incorrect words....

the press, the game devs, & consumers were ALL slamming it because it was changing how game is meant to look and thats ignoring the fact their "claims" were straight up lies about how much control developers had when using it. (and how nvidia says it isnt a filter yet one of the tech ppl working on it in Q&A stated it was infact that)

I can't say I ever totally hated the original since it was optional and you could either use it or not. It seemed like a non issue if you had a choice.

I am starting to question TH for their integrity due to recent NVIDIA articles and specific "careful corporate" phrasing regarding them. I don't like corpo whitewashing and propaganda. If I keep seeing this, probably will move away to another media.

I recommend going directly to News Comments, then checking out the articles if you're interested in them.
