ChatGPT-6 Astra plays World of Warcraft 'blind' and clears the orc starting zone in 40 minutes with no deaths — AI agent navigates by parsing raw server network packets and SQL files

OpenAI's GPT-6 Astra AI model was able to clear the Orc starting area in World of Warcraft (WoW) in 40 minutes with 0 deaths, agent-wow's developer says. The model played the zone without seeing a single rendered frame, relying on network traffic and quest data pulled from the server's own files. The approach used a single prompt in Codex with agent-wow, an open-source client, to play on a private server. The corresponding YouTube video says that the agent “starts as a level 1 Orc, completes every quest in the Valley of Trials, and finishes the run in Sen’jin Village.”

Another example of the amazing reasons humanity needs AI: Computer games dominance!!

And all that without taking a break to hack into some company's or government's system!!

Is it really all that surprising that an AI agent can reverse engineer a path from a database that’s literally a linked list of data? Bots have been doing this and more for decades.

On the other hand, gaming posers now have hope that when they trumpet their questionable gaming credentials to their followers, they can legitimately say they didn’t pay someone to power level their character. They just have to worry about whether their AI platform will rat them out before they force their development staff to alter its programming.

Just proves AI is just machine learning 2.0

I know this absolutely is NOT the point, but it just feels weird to use AI to play our games for us.

Like, I can't be bothered to do something I enjoy for personal entertainment, so I'll get an AI to play the game for me.

Yes, I realize this is about the capabilities of the AI, but I'm sleep deprived, which makes me more absurd.
