A Russian Molniya drone carrying an Nvidia Jetson Orin module crashed and killed three civilians at a gas station in Zaporizhzhia last month after choosing its final target without a human pilot, according to a New York Times investigation that cites Ukrainian air defense commanders, drone experts, and the forensic team that examined the wreckage.

Kateryna Bondar, a senior fellow at the Center for Strategic and International Studies, told the paper it's the first documented case of civilian deaths caused by a Russian drone using fully autonomous targeting. The dead were Tetiana Bubynets, a 19-year-old accounting student, and two men aged 41 and 48.

Some people in a country being also bombed right now:

"Thank Goodness, although our houses were chosen and selected by AI as targets, but at least the 4000 lb bombs falling on our heads were delivered by humans and not by AI!!"

But this article is the big news!!

Seems like there is always a war somewhere, and if it involves a major power then the latest tech is being tested and improved upon... I'm used to tinkering in code but to imagine someone dying on the other end of it is hard to fathom.

They have also found Intel parts inside Russian weapons of war. Money has to be made, it seems. :(
