With the cost of building a PC continuing to go up, you start to look elsewhere for ways to upgrade your setup. One of the best ways you can do that is with a high-quality pair of the best PC speakers, and some of our favorite options are on sale with deep discounts for Prime Day.

Regardless of whether you want to finally stop using your monitor's junky built-in speakers or an open-space alternative to headphones, a solid pair of speakers can elevate your setup, for games, movies, and of course, music. We have a handful of options here that are on sale for Prime Day, ranging from budget 2.0 setups to 7.1 surround sound systems.

Starting on the budget end, the Creative Pebble V2 speakers are just $26 for Prime Day. We've looked at the higher-powered Pebble Pro set, which also features some modern trimmings like Bluetooth at a much higher price of $60. The Pebble V2 speakers feature an older driver, but they're the same size.

Sound quality isn't the best, but it's far better than what you get out of monitor speakers, which is the most you can ask for out of a $26 pair of speakers.

Stepping up in price and quality, we have the Edifier G2000 speakers, which currently rank as our best 2.0 speaker set for gaming. You get just the two satellite speakers, but they include a connection for a subwoofer to fill out the low-end down the line.

The speakers are mainly tuned for gaming, emphasizing the lows and deprioritizing the mids, so they aren't the best for listening to music. Still, Edifier offers a lot to like with the G2000, especially below $100, including 3.5mm and Bluetooth connections, along with a generous 32W peak power rating.

Edifier's M60 speakers turn everything up compared to the G2000, sporting a larger 3-inch driver along with a 1-inch tweeter to round out the high-end. Combined with a higher 66W power rating, the M60s are a more well-rounded set of speakers, with tuning that works better for movies and music.

The speakers also feature 3.5mm and Bluetooth connectivity, along with USB-C. We've linked the white color above, but the black and oak finishes are on sale for Prime Day, as well.

For a slightly higher-end sound all around, you can go with the Onkyo GX-30ARC speakers, which feature larger 4-inch woofers. We gave the speakers high marks in our Onkyo GX-30ARC review on the back of excellent sound quality for the price, not to mention plentiful connection options.

In addition to USB-C, Bluetooth, and 3.5mm analog connections, the speakers support optical, RCA, and even HDMI connection with ARC. Onkyo includes some plastic stands in the box, as well, angling the speakers up toward your ears for the most direct sound.

The edifier M60s are a clone of the Audioengine A2+ speakers. If you want the real thing, you're in luck because the white color is on sale for $223, while the red version is down to just $209.

Audioengine comes out ahead with more premium build quality, including real wood cabinets and a 24-bit DAC (digital-to-analog converter) built into the speakers. You get plenty of connection options, as well, including Bluetooth, RCA, 3.5mm, and USB-C, along with a subwoofer expansion port.

If you want to go all-out, you can save on the SteelSeries Area 9 surround kit. The set currently ranks as our best 5.1 surround speakers, combining a center channel with four satellite speakers and a 6.5-inch down-firing subwoofer. The subwoofer helps fill out the sound a lot, especially compared to the cheaper options above.

This is a true surround sound system, so it naturally pairs best with true surround sound sources. A lot of games only feature stereo sound, but thankfully, the Arena 9s can convert stereo audio into faux surround sound.

There are exactly two things every PC has in common: it needs power and it needs to be cooled. Modern-day desktops mostly scale linearly in cost, with higher-end builds typically opting for liquid cooling over conventional air cooling. As such, today, we've rounded up some of the best AIOs we could find as part of Amazon's Prime Day Deals, along with a nice little cameo of tradition at the end. First up, we have the Cooler Master Elite Liquid 240, a 240mm AIO liquid cooler that comes with two 120mm RGB fans and a similarly RGB-illuminated pump block featuring aa frosted hexagonal design. The supplied Dual Elite 120mm fans can spin between 600 and 2,100 RPM, are designed to remain quiet during operation.

The Elite Liquid 240 supports all the major Intel and AMD sockets currently available. Cooler Master usually sells this for around $60, but you can have it for 33% off today for the white version.

If you're tired of all the RGB bling and just need an AIO that works exceptionally well, look no further than the Arctic Liquid Freezer Pro 360. Maybe you need a deal on a black 240mm AIO. Corsair's iCue Link Titan 240 RX RGB AIO now has a massive price drop and is now found under $80. While it doesn't have a screen, the 2 120mm RGB fans and pump block have enough bling to keep you happy.

The AIO supports a wide range of processors including AMD AM4/5, and Intel's, 115x/1200/1700/1851. The included RX RGB fans run from 0-2,100 RPMs and eliminates noise entirely at low temperatures.

If you're into these large screens and like the look of the new curved versions, the Tryx Panorama SE 360 ARGB is a solid contender, but it's pricey. Normally $279.99, it's on sale at Newegg for $251.99 and it's lowest price since April 2026.

The 2K 6.67-inch rotatable AMOLED screen is the star of the show with high res, 400 nit brightness screens. It comes with pre-loaded animations or you can use your own. According to our review, it performed well with low noise levels and good noise-normalized performance so you don't need to worry about noise, or keeping your processor cool.

Before you leave, there's one more thing. If you want the solid cooling while spending as little as possible, then you can't go wrong with PCCooler RT720 TC ARGB. Unlike the options we've discussed so far, this is an air cooler that eliminates many of the complexities of AIO and replaces them with affordable, reliable cooling.

This dual-tower cooler is said to support up to 265W and comes with two 120mm hydraulic-bearing fans (500-2000 RPM) with 3.28mm-H20 for a nice balance of cooling and quiet operations.

Every cooler on this list is a great choice, offering solid performance at affordable prices that are not often found. Our top pick is the Thermalright Grand Vision because it offers a screen at a price where such novelty is unheard of. However, the options from Cooler Master, MSI, Corsair, and our cameo from Thermaltake will all tame your beastly processors just fine. Make sure to do your research, look at reviews, and don't hesitate to splurge if this is an upgrade you've been holding out on for a long time.

The Cyborg 15 is the definite value play wth its $1,089 asking price (a $510 discount). That price gets you an Intel Core 7-240H processor, 16GB of DDR5 memory, and a 1TB SSD. You need to start somewhere, and these kits have pretty much every tool that you could need to maintain a PC, all in a handy case. In my office/workshop, I have a general set of screwdrivers for general tasks, and a set of Hoto screwdrivers and bits for servicing my PC and any other parts I review.

Whether you call them Hex or Allen wrenches, this part of our toolbox is often overlooked. Why? Because we get one in every set of flat-pack, DIY furniture that's why! You can get cheap sets of Hex wrenches, but they are ultimately made from a material softer than Play-Doh, or have the power to strip a head. Air dusters and cleaners

Clean the filth from your PC!

Air blowers/dusters are a popular choice for quickly blowing out fans and filters to remove any collected dust and fluff. They can also blow out the crumbs that linger under your keyboard. Air blowers are a great alternative to single-use compressed air cans.

Not everyone wants to buy an $80 air duster. There are plenty that cost less that still move a lot of air and come with several attachments that are plenty useful for cleaning out your PC.

I clean out my desktop PC once or twice a year and my blower did a great job, but there were times when the amassed collection of dead skin cells, dog and cat hair, and other fluff was too much for my much weaker air duster. So I bought some cans of compressed air, and not the dollar store stuff either! I don't use them often, but they are handy when you need a little more power in a precise point.

Sometimes compressed air or turbo-force USB-powered jet fans aren't enough, and so you must get your hands dirty. Cleaning any electronic components should be done with care. Components aren't as static sensitive as their predecessors but we should take care not to trash our kit.

These nylon anti-static brushes come in a range of sizes and shapes to clean dust from components and inside drive bays, and to keep caked-on dust from your fan blades. It also includes a keycap puller and tweezers to deep clean the harrowing scene that lurks under your keyboard.

The final cleaning product that you need for building and maintaining PCs is Isopropyl Alcohol, IPA. Yes, 99% is overkill; heck, it's medical grade for first aid use, but if you really want to eke it out, get some distilled water and water down your mix to 70%. I don’t because it works well as it is.

My top tip, though, is not to spray it when the components are hot. There is very little risk of fire, but it will evaporate rather quickly. That said, in the electronics hobbyist world, rapidly evaporating IPA is used to identify super-hot chips, typically those that have shorted.

Thermal pastes

Thermal paste etiquette — pea-sized blob, an X, or a smooth layer like peanut butter?

Let's all agree that, however you apply thermal paste, that is the right way, ok? Thermal paste / TIM or thermal pads bridge the hot side of a component to a heatsink or heatpipe, which wicks away heat, keeping the component cool.

Thermal material is essential to keep your system cool, and I asked the team what they use. Our Editor-in-Chief, Paul Alcorn, said that MX-6 is his go-to thermal paste. So I looked around and found this handy kit that contains 4G of thermal paste and six handy wipes. The wipes are essentially isopropyl alcohol on a cloth, and they are used to prepare the surface for the new paste. They will wipe off the old paste, dust, dead skin (ewww) and leave the surface ready for pasting!

Thanks to ongoing AI-driven demand, trying to find any kind of storage, be it SSD or HDD, on sale at a reasonable price is next to impossible, even during deals events like Amazon’s Prime Day. But if you’ve been a PC builder or even a laptop user for several years, there’s a good chance you have a drive of some kind sitting in a drawer or the back of a closet, doing nothing more useful than collecting dust.

Whether it’s a SATA SSD, an NVMe or SATA M.2 drive that you swapped out for a faster or higher-capacity option in the before times, or even an old-school hard drive, you can drop it into an affordable USB enclosure, plug it into one of your ports, and perhaps save yourself hundreds over what you’d have to pay for a new drive at today’s awful storage prices.

But we’ll include some on-sale options below, as well as enclosures for older drive types, since these hard times for storage might have you reaching back to some truly old drives that can still be useful. Of course, for those who crave fast throughput and have a fast drive to drop in, we’ll also include a 40Gbps option.

A solid, see-through enclosure for 2.5-inch SATA SSDs or hard drives

There are cheaper 2.5-inch SATA SSD / HDD options, but this option from Orico uses a modern USB-C cable, rather than the more common (for some reason) Micro USB-B connection. This is important, both because Micro-B is rare these days, so you might misplace the cable.

But also, should you want to use a USB-C connector on your PC, rather than the USB-A cable that this enclosure ships with, you probably already have a suitable USB-C to USB-C cable. With other enclosures, you'd almost certainly have to order a Micro-B to USB-C cable. And no one wants one of those if they can avoid it.

A sub-$15 10 Gbps NVMe and SATA M.2 enclosure

Unless you're digging some SATA drives out of storage, the most likely (and speediest) option for putting an old drive to use as external storage is an M.2 drive. Older models might be SATA, but newer, faster options use the NVMe protocol. The tool-free option below supports both, as well as all the common physical M.2 form factors.

This enclosure supports speeds up to 10Gbps, which is fine for most mainstream uses. And it's unlikely most have a faster spare PCIe 4 or PCIe 5 drive to take full advantage of faster interfaces anyway. If you do, keep scrolling for a faster option, below.

Breaking out the big guns with a 3.5-inch external hard drive enclosure

If you’ve got a spacious 3.5-inch hard drive you want to make use of and don’t have the space for it inside your PC case, there are, of course, enclosures available for old-school desktop hard drives. And our favorite tested pick, from UGreen, is also on sale.

Despite its svelte size for the category, there's no denying the bulkiness here compared to 2.5-inch enclosures, not to mention the requirement of a power brick. But hey, it supports drives up to 20TB, and you can’t cram all those bits in a 2.5-inch drive.

The only real benefit of 3.5-inch external storage at this point is capacity and price. 2.5-inch hard drives top at 5-6TB, and 8TB SSDs these days usually cost $900 or more. But this enclosure from Ugreen supports up to 20TB drives. Just remember: backing up terabytes of essential data to a single hard drive, without another off-site backup, is a good way to ensure a future catastrophe. Always follow the 3-2-1 backup rule if your data is irreplaceable.

Affordable 40 Gbps external speed, if you need it

If you’re digging in a drawer for an older drive, there’s a fairly good chance it’s not up to delivering 40 Gbps speeds, so there’s no use in overpaying for a pricier enclosure with speeds your drive can’t deliver. But for those who do have a spare SSD that’s capable of speeds of 3,100 MB/s or more and want a fast enclosure, this model from Orico, if you clip the coupon, is one of the cheapest we’ve seen from a known brand.

This is a fanless enclosure, and not as large as some other passively cooled options. So don't expect the fastest possible sustained performance, but Orico's enclosure supports speeds up to 3100 MB/s, as well as USB4, Thunderbolt, and older / slower USB protocols.

If you're a gamer, the best CPU you can buy is going to come from AMD right now, and the AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D is going to be on your shortlist. While it isn't technically the most powerful chip on the market anymore, the 9800X3D is still an absolute powerhouse performer and our top pick for best gaming CPU in 2026, and it's just hit its lowest ever price in the UK on Amazon, costing just £339.99.

The data from Camelcamelcamel confirms what we know about Amazon's price, and an early check across the other big tech retailers in the UK points to a minimum £30 price drop compared to the cost elsewhere. There are few CPUs that offer the reputation that the AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D. Until very recently, it was the fastest CPU for gaming in the world, and it's still our best pick overall. This 8-core, 16-thread processor features AMD's newest Zen 5 architecture and comes equipped with a boost clock speed of up to 5.2 GHz.

The performance upgrade, however, is really noticeable in one area: the cache. These 3D V-cache chips feature a boosted 96MB L3 cache capacity, stacked beneath the CPU cores, closer to the integrated heat spreader on a reconfigured die. For gaming, that means that it doesn't need to drop down and rely on the slower system RAM, reducing latency and ensuring much higher frame rates in-game.

The 9800X3D comes fully unlocked, making overclocking a possibility, something which wasn't available on earlier 3D V-cache chips. That said, base performance is pretty stellar on its own, and there really isn't a more efficient gaming CPU on the market at this level.

You aren't having to juice for power here. It offers the best performance per watt of any gaming CPU on sale, besting newer upgrades like the AMD Ryzen 7 9850X3D. Our CPU benchmark data confirms that, showing that the FPS difference between the earlier AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D and newer Ryzen 7 9850X3D sits at only 3% at 1080p. You're probably running your games at 1440p or 4K with a chip like this one, too, which will close the gap even further.

Pair the 9800X3D with a modern GPU, and you won't find too many bottlenecks from the CPU end. We reviewed this drive shortly after release and loved its strong all-around performance, excellent software (Samsung Magician) and support, and the fact that it ran consistently, efficiently, and cool, making it a well-rounded storage option for any build.

On the performance front, the 2TB 990 Pro delivered excellent random read performance, beating a host of other 2TB PCIe 4.0 x4 drives in our testing. It was also relatively efficient in the process and good for battery-powered devices like a laptop, while also reducing thermal output. Samsung lists sequential reads at 7,450 MBps and 6,900 MBps, with IOPS at 1.4M and 1.55M reads/writes, respectively. The read speeds essentially max out the PCIe 4.0 x4 interface. It also has an endurance rating of 1,200 TBW, which is average for the generation and capacity. You’ll be hard-pressed to pass that metric unless you’re transferring gigabytes upon gigabytes of data daily.

At $369.99, it isn’t the least expensive 2TB PCIe 4.0 M.2 SSD available, but it is still one of the fastest of its kind for the interface (see results from our review below). If this one is too expensive and you don’t need 2TB capacity, the 1TB Samsung 990 Pro is also on sale for much less, $219.99. As you can imagine, these prices are vastly higher than they were a year ago, but we're continuing to see seeing some reductions from the painful peaks of earlier this year.

Two of Intel's latest CPUs, the Intel Core Ultra 5 250K Plus and Intel Core Ultra 7 270K Plus, are now available to buy. Listings have begun to appear for both Arrow Lake Refresh CPUs, with the 250K Plus popping up for $219.99 and Newegg listing the 270K Plus for $349.99. The Core Ultra 5 250K also has a KF version available for sale, with KF referring to overclockable CPUs without an integrated GPU.

These two CPUs provide an interesting return to form for Intel, at least partially, compared to the disappointing response (and launch-day performance) of its earlier Intel Core Ultra line-up. As our 250K Plus review shows, this is a CPU that punches well above its weight, with performance that beats CPUs that are double the price in applications.

Meanwhile, the Intel Core Ultra 7 270K Plus is a formidable option for productivity users, even if gaming isn't quite its focus. Our 270K Plus review reveals the extent of the turnaround from Arrow Lake here, priced $100 less than the Core Ultra 7 265K, with chart-topping single and multi-threaded performance.

These Arrow Lake Refresh processors are competitively priced with better performance than many would expect. While the LGA 1851 socket is nearing the end of its life, these CPUs would be a serious upgrade for your existing build.

Where to buy Intel Core Ultra 5 250K Plus

The Intel Core Ultra 5 250K Plus is a budget-friendly processor with an MSRP of $200. It has the same gaming performance as the AMD Ryzen 5 9600X, but for multi-threaded productivity tasks, it outperforms plenty of more expensive rivals, including the gaming-focused 9800X3D. It features 18 cores, comprising six performance cores and 12 efficient cores, and 18 threads. P-cores can boost up to 5.3 GHz, while E-cores can boost to 4.6 GHz, and the chip has a base TDP of 125W.

This CPU has just launched, so expect to see stock levels (and prices) vary across the board. We'll be updating this guide regularly with the most up-to-date prices and links from all the major retailers, with the K (overclockable) and KF (overclockable, no iGPU) models on sale.

Where to buy Intel Core Ultra 7 270K Plus

The Intel Core Ultra 7 270K Plus is a $299 powerhouse with a Janus exterior: a CPU with two faces. For less than $300, you're getting flagship productivity performance at mainstream-level pricing, going toe-to-toe with the Ryzen 9 9950X at half its price. Gaming performance is less stellar, sitting closer to the Core i7-14700K and Ryzen 7 9700X. The 270K Plus is a 24-core CPU, with eight performance cores and 16 efficient cores, with a max boost clock speed of 5.5 GHz and a base TDP of 125W.

The price makes this CPU a truly compelling option, however. Retailers have priced it above MSRP for the time being, but it's still early days, and we'll be looking to update this table with the latest stock (and prices) as it launches.

Gaming and Productivity Performance Benchmark Charts

The benchmark data above speaks for itself. Intel has knocked it out of the park with its Arrow Lake Refresh CPUs, with pricing and performance that, depending on your use case, makes them truly compelling.

The Core Ultra 5 250K Plus offers comparable gaming performance to the AMD Ryzen 5 9600X, while seriously outperforming with productivity work. The Core Ultra 7 270K Plus, meanwhile, is able to rival the AMD Ryzen 9 9950X in multi-threaded work, but for gaming, it's a little slower.

Although Intel's sales of its Arrow Lake-based (Core Ultra) processors have been lackluster due to the popularity and performance of AMD’s Ryzen X3D processors, the new Core Ultra 270K Plus has received better reception. This is in part due to the top-notch productivity performance and the much lower price point ($319.99 at Newegg, the 285K launched at nearly $600) alone. Gaming is still an afterthought, but the new processor still performs well, just not as well as the X3D chips at lower resolutions.

The new Core Ultra 270K Plus CPU boasts 24 cores/24 threads with an 8+16 (Performance and ecores) configuration. The performance cores have a base clock of 3.7 GHz and a boost of 5.4 GHz. The ecores did receive a clockspeed increase with their boost up to 4.7 GHz from 4.6 GHz. L3 Cache still sits at 76MB, as does the TDP of 125/250W. Memory support was raised from a maximum (not overclocked) of 7200 MT/s, up from 6400 MT/s on the original Arrow Lake chips. In all, it’s an improved chip, but the lower price point is where the real value is found.

Next up is the MSI MPG Z890 Carbon Wifi motherboard. I reviewed this mid-range offering previously and loved the updated ‘Click X’ BIOS, DIY features, and the premium all-black aesthetic. The board supports Core Ultra Plus processors with the latest BIOS and includes a BIOS Flashback function, allowing updates without a processor, ensuring compatibility. You get five M.2 sockets (one PCIe 5.0 x4) and four SATA ports for storage, 5 GbE and Wi-Fi 7, loads of USB ports on the rear IO (13 total, 3x Type-C two of those 40 Gbps Thunderbolt 4) and some AI functionality (Overclocking, LAN, and Cooling) to help you get the most out of the system. The all-black appearance with RGBs on the heatsinks makes for an awesome centerpiece in a dark-themed build and a perfect complement to the 270K Plus in the combo.

Finally, Newegg includes 32GB of GSkill Trident Z5 RGB series DDR5-6400 CL32 RAM to round out the combo. The black sticks sport a frosted RGB strip on top for some bling and match the Carbon Wifi motherboard. While the speed isn’t the fastest for the platform, you’ll still get incredible performance with this kit. And the fact that with the $289.99 discount, this RAM is actually priced like it was in mid-2025.

Newegg has multiple Intel bundles out today in conjunction with the release of the Arrow Lake refresh chips, with varying levels of motherboards and discounts that are all worth a look, but this one at $899.99 has the highest discount among them. If 1080p gaming isn’t how you primarily use your PC, Intel’s updated CPUs are certainly a worthwhile purchase, especially with an almost $300 savings.

While it’s not an X3D chip, as you can see from the benchmarks below, it not only excels in daily tasks and other multi-core operations, but proves it’s a competent gamer as well. Although we didn’t review AMD’s Ryzen 9 9900X, we know the non-X3D chips, like its big brother, the Ryzen 9 9950X, built on the same technology, were generally well received by our reviewer and the public alike. Its strong multicore and single-threaded performance, native AVX-512 support, and backward compatibility with AM5 motherboards make this CPU an excellent choice for someone who uses their PC for more than just gaming and can make use of the additional cores and threads.

The Ryzen 9 9900X is a 12-core, 24-thread processor built on TSMC’s 4nm FinFET process (6nm for the I/O die) with a base clock of 4.4 GHz and boost up to 5.6 GHz. It has a TDP of 120W and is relatively easy to manage the thermals, even when overclocking the fully unlocked processor. While overclocking isn’t what it used to be, you can still squeeze out a couple of hundred more MHz, and sometimes you can get there even when lowering the voltage. In short, there’s a lot of performance out of the box, and even a bit more headroom left if you want to overclock.

Unfortunately, we didn’t review this specific 9000-series CPU, but it is used in our motherboard reviews. Below, you can see it's a high-performing chip across a wide range of PC functions. This includes office productivity, encoding/decoding, rendering, and, of course, gaming. You can see in benchmarks like Cinebench (rendering) the extra cores and threads shine, while in other tests, the single-threaded capability also shows its mettle.

Gaming tests will be slower than those on any of the X3D chips, but it is still plenty capable, reaching well over 140 FPS in both of our game tests at 1080p (where the CPU matters most). So even if you work by day and moonlight as a gamer, the Ryzen 9 9900X still spits out plenty of frames, even for high frequency/Hz gaming.

Another great thing about the AM5 platform is its longevity. Not only does it support existing 7000 and 9000 series processors, but it will also support upcoming processors like the rumored Ryzen 9 9950X3D2 and next-gen AM6 processors. So if this chip gets long in the tooth in a few years, the upcoming, even faster processors, will be drop-in compatible (using the latest BIOS).

With RAM, storage, and graphics card pricing skyrocketing over the past several months due to the AI boom, building a PC has, sadly, never been more expensive. And with no end in sight, scrounging around for deals is the only way to take the burn out of the current pricing. The Radeon RX 9070 XT is a high-performance 1440p/4K gaming GPU based on AMD’s RDNA 4 architecture and features 16GB of GDDR6 memory, 64 compute units, 64 ray accelerators, a 304W TBP, and up to 2.97GHz boost clock speeds. Launched with an MSRP of $599 in March 2025, the company has since increased the price of its Radeon graphics cards and memory kits sent to AIB partners by $10 per 8GB. This increase has led to a change in the official price to $619.

In our review of the RX 9070 XT, we found that it can easily compete with Nvidia’s RTX 5070 and can get relatively close to the RTX 5070 Ti. The GPU delivered about 91fps in our 16-game rasterization geomean at 1440p resolution and 60fps at 4K beating the RTX 5070 by 21% at 1440p, and 29% at 4K.

The Sapphire Nitro+ Radeon RX 9070 XT is one of the more premium examples offering a triple-slot cooling solution including an aluminum fin-stack heatsink, high-conductivity TIM, and plenty of RGB lighting. It is also one of the few RX 9070 XT’s to implement the controversial 16-pin 12V-2x6 power connector, so do keep that in mind if you plan on purchasing this GPU. You’ve also got a single USB 3.0 port, which you can use to hook up a printer or USB external drive. Initial setup and configuration are a breeze, too, with users able to set their own config using the router’s web portal.

While this has a decent spec sheet for the model we tested in our Acer Nitro V15 review, where we scored its performance and build quality pretty highly, it’s an otherwise identical machine. That rate is important because it means that, when you’re maxing out the frame rates in-game at 1080p on this rig, you won’t see any ugly screen tears or stuttering.

Ultimately, though, the power in this rig resides in three of its major components. Starting with the CPU, it comes equipped with an Intel Core i7-13620H. It’s a 10-core Raptor Lake processor that, while it is starting to age a little, is still a reasonable option for gaming on a laptop, with six performance cores able to handle gaming tasks, and four efficient cores for multi-threaded work, with a max boost clock speed of 4.9 GHz.

All in all, though, it’s the RTX 5060 that most gamers will focus on. The mobile version of one of Nvidia’s latest Blackwell GPUs has 3,328 CUDA cores, along with 8GB of GDDR7 VRAM. From a gaming perspective, especially with this CPU, expect to manage high to even ultra graphics presets with high frame rates in most modern games. 1440p is possible in some cases, too, especially using this GPU’s DLSS 4 support. Multi-frame generation will be helpful here, using those AI-generated frames to give you a lift in games that are especially demanding.

16GB of RAM is about standard for a modern gaming laptop these days, but it’s nice that it isn’t an area of compromise at this price point. You’ve also got a 1TB NVMe SSD installed in this rig, ensuring fast Gen 4 speeds and enough capacity for a few big game installations, alongside plenty of Steam indie releases, to sink your teeth into.

Look, we can’t pretend this is a record low price for this drive, but it is a decent one in the current circumstances. Rising NAND flash prices due to AI have completely upended the PC hardware market, with memory and SSDs seeing big price increases. With a senior Samsung executive calling these SSD price increases the ‘new normal,’ we can’t expect to see these prices drop anytime soon, either.

That brings us back to the Crucial P310. As our review back in 2024 explains, this is a good all-rounder, even if the criticism about its price has been superseded by events. Put into context, £299.99 is as cheap as you’ll find a 4TB NVMe SSD with PCIe 4.0 speeds right now, and on the speed front, this drive sits firmly in the middle of the pack.

Our benchmark data below confirms that, too. With sequential read and write speeds of 7,100 MB/s and 6,000 MB/s, the Crucial P310 certainly isn't the fastest Gen 4 SSD you can buy, but it is a big improvement over older Gen 3 drives and SATA SSDs, and even manages to beat even faster drives like the WD Black SN850X in some cases. It also competes well against the fastest PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD on sale right now, the Samsung 990 Pro, which has read and write speeds of 7,450 MB/s and 6,900 MB/s apiece.

The big MVP of a drive like this, however, is the capacity. Even with a Windows installation, you’re left with a heap of extra data for big game installations or hefty apps. It would also work well as a separate backup drive for all of your important files, keeping them separated from your main OS drive, thanks to the Crucial P310’s decent speed specs.

Everything we’ve seen and heard over the last few months has suggested that we’re not going to be seeing ultra-low prices on SSDs for a long, long time. £299.99 for a 4TB Crucial P310 SSD, in the current market conditions, is a price worth considering, with decent speeds and a price that outperforms any of its competitors right now. Apple has a new laptop release on the very near horizon, and even though the new, smaller MacBook Neo is priced fairly, you can save even more if you preorder the new computer on Amazon ahead of Wednesday's official release date. The new MacBook Neo uses the A18 Pro chip, previously used in Apple iPhones, and has six cores, a single-core clock speed of up to 4.0 GHz, and up to 2.4 GHz in multi-core use case scenarios. We reviewed the Apple MacBook Neo and were surprised by its premium feel and looks in comparison to the much more expensive MacBooks. The chassis of the Neo is premium, and the 13-inch liquid retina display is bright, with vivid colours. The touchpad is clickable anywhere on the pad, and overall, it's the most affordable MacBook laptop ever made.

Some things we weren't fans of, however, were the lack of backlighting on the keyboard, which made it harder to see keys in a darkened environment, and the lack of functionality labeling on the USB-C ports. The ports are quite different in the physical tasks they could handle. Apple's operating does notify you if you plug something like a small portable monitor into the USB-C port that doesn't support DisplayPort functionality, but it's a bit of a clunky design choice for Apple.

This is an interesting change for Apple and awesome if you're looking for an eBook-style laptop with a premium feel and build quality for a good price. The fact that you can already make a saving before the MacBook is even released is amazing and definitely something you should jump on if this is a product you're interested in. It's not a gaming laptop, and wouldn't be that effective as a high-productivity software machine, but for general internet activity and work/study use, it's a very enticing bit of kit.

One of the best additions to my toolkit has been an electric screwdriver. This Hoto screwdriver, in fact. As you can probably tell, it's a personal favourite of mine, but several other editors and writers at Tom's Hardware own and regularly use it, too. The 3.6V driver is equipped with a 1,500mAh battery that reportedly allows you to drive over 1,000 screws from a full charge. From personal experience, having used it almost every weekend since the start of the year, I've not had to charge it once, so longevity hasn't been an issue. It uses a USB-C connection for charging the 1,500 mAh battery, ditching any need for outdated AA batteries, and comes with a supplied cable, with a total charge taking only 150 minutes to complete.

The kit itself is ultralight, too. It weighs just 250g, with a round casing made out of plastic and TPE rubber. It's robust, and I've certainly dropped it a few times to check, but it's also comfortable to pick up, thanks to its rubberised feel. The Hoto NEX O1 Pro itself is fully adjustable for different situations, coming with three separate torque settings, as well as a built-in sensor that will stop driving as soon as you release control. There's also a circular LED light at the top to help you see what you're doing in dark spaces, which I've found particularly useful. It's also fully magnetic, so you won't lose any tiny screws while you work, either.

This is a portable kit with 12 different screw bits, and I've found it covers all of the bases quite well. It has a good selection, with Phillips, Torx, flat, hexagon, and Pozidriv head options, all rated for 60HRC on the Rockwell scale. These all come with the driver in a sturdy aluminium storage box, which helpfully protects the Hoto driver when it isn't being used.

Newegg is leading the charge with multiple bundles that offer some combination of RAM, CPU, and motherboard, often throwing in some freebies on top of it (think games, or AIOs, or even an air duster). We’re spotlighting a deal on a capable budget-class motherboard in the Gigabyte B850 Aorus Elite Wifi 7, along with 32GB of Corsair Vengeance RGB DDR5-6400 RAM for just under $505 (20%/$133.00 off), which makes the overall price more palatable.

We reviewed the B850 Aorus Elite Wifi 7 motherboard a while ago, and even at $230 (when it was released), it was a good overall value, showing solid all-around performance in our testing, a wide range of DIY-friendly features, three M.2 sockets, ample USB ports, and a budget-friendly price point. It supports 7000- and 9000-series AMD processors, including the recently released Ryzen 7 9850X3D, the fastest gaming processor on the market.

The board offers 12 total USB ports on the rear IO, though the fastest back here is a USB 3.2 Gen 2 (10 Gbps) Type-C port (there is a front panel 20 Gbps Type-C header). Three M.2 sockets hide under the DIY-friendly plate heatsink in the middle, with one running PCIe 5.0 x4 (128 Gbps). If you’re carrying over SATA-based storage, the four ports should be enough. In addition to integrated Wi-Fi 7 (though not the fastest), the board also features 2.5 GbE for fast wired connectivity. The audio solution on the rev 1.0 is basic, but sufficient for most users. Memory support is listed to 256GB and speeds up to DDR5-8200, which is plenty fast for the platform and well past the 6000-6400 MT/s sweet spot.

Specifications and performance aside, the all-black motherboard will also look good inside your chassis of choice. There are even a few RGBs hidden under the chipset heatsink to add some glow. If black isn’t your thing, Newegg is also offering the white version of the board with the same RAM for $529.99.

Included in the combo is Corsair Vengeance RGB 32GB (2x16GB) DDR5-6400 CL36 RAM, $439.99 if bought alone. The black kit has a frosted RGB light bar that runs the length of the sticks and is sure to draw attention inside your case. Or, if RGB lighting isn’t your thing and you prefer a stealthy appearance, you can turn it off (on the motherboard, too). The decent DDR5-6400 speed lands in AMD’s sweet spot and is a worthwhile and good-looking option for a 32GB kit. With the bundle deal, $139.99 off, you’re essentially buying the RAM for a reasonable-for-the-times $300.

4K gaming monitors are expensive, but Newegg is countering that notion with MSI's MAG 275UPD E14, which is on sale for just $200 in Newegg's Love For Tech sale. The monitor normally retails for $280, but Newegg has it marked down to $240 for the sale. You can get an additional $40 off that price with promo code LTSF682, which is instantly applied at checkout.

The dual-mode monitor supports 4K at 144Hz or 1080p at 288Hz, giving you tack-sharp resolution on the desktop and an ultra-high refresh rate when you're gaming. At 27 inches, the pixel density at 4K is extremely high, and the display shouldn't look obviously blurry when you're running it in 1080p mode — something that can become a problem with 32-inch dual-mode monitors.

Although you shouldn't expect miracles out of a $200 4K gaming monitor, the MAG 275UPD E14 has a lot going for it. It packs an IPS panel that's certified with VESA's Adaptive Sync, so you'll be able to use variable refresh rate regardless of the GPU you have. It also comes with two HDMI 2.1 ports for consoles outputting 4K at 120Hz (also with VRR), alongside a DisplayPort 1.4a connection and a headphone output.

One of the sleeper features of this particular monitor is the stand. It's fully adjustable, which is surprisingly difficult to find at this price. The stand supports just over 5 inches of height adjustment, 25 degrees of tilt, 30 degrees of swivel in either direction, and 90 degrees of pivot in either direction, allowing you to turn the monitor vertically on the included stand. If you want to ditch the stand, there's a standard 100mm x 100mm VESA mount, as well.

The panel itself is IPS, so you can expect decent color accuracy and wide viewing angles, though limited peak brightness. MSI says this monitor is "HDR Ready," which is usually code that you shouldn't turn on HDR. Don't expect jaw-dropping visual quality out of a $200 4K gaming monitor.

Even with that caveat, there's a lot to like here. There are dual-mode capabilities, which you can toggle manually, but the monitor also supports auto-detection to switch the resolution and refresh rate based on the input. There's also a pair of 2W stereo speakers built into the display. Again, don't expect top-shelf quality, but it's nice to have a pair of speakers as a fallback.

I’ve bought many, many USB cables over the years. What frustrates me the most is how unassuming they are. Branded, braided, data-capable, high-speed, power-capable – these terms are meaningless to the average consumer when USB cables all look, more or less, the same. It’s a cable. It plugs in. It should all work the same, right?

If only it were that simple. I’ve bought many a dud in my time, even at prices that should have priced out the poor-quality knockoffs. Just because a cable has a fancy braided coating doesn’t mean that you can use it to power your laptop or smartphone, or that it’s safe to use for transferring data, or if it’s even safe to plug in without frying your USB port. That’s why I rely on a USB cable tester as part of my tech kit, and I think it’s one of those forgotten pieces of kit that every household should own, even if most probably don’t.

If it involves power, you really should test it

One unfortunate incident that occurred a few years ago that convinced me of this need involved a USB cable I purchased from a well-known retailing behemoth. I’ve owned a MacBook for several years and, if you’ve ever owned one, you’ll know the frustration of dealing with a yellowing USB charging cable. Every bend and every crease reduces the lifespan of the supplied USB power cable until, eventually, the plastic sheathing breaks, the wiring becomes exposed, and the cable ends up rotting in the trash.

So, to Amazon. I purchased a no-brand knock-off with a nylon-braided shielding that I hoped would work and would last. It didn’t. When it failed to charge my laptop after less than a week, it dawned on me that I was trusting my $2,000 MacBook to a cable that cost me less than $10. I didn’t know how it’d been made or if it was any good before I started using it, other than a cursory glance at the sketchy-looking packaging.

Give these USB testers a try

My inquisitive nature, despite being late to kick in, led me to consider how I could actually test a USB cable in the future before relying on it to power my devices or handle my data. I wouldn’t do it with a flash drive, so why would I do it to a cable? Hence: USB testers. You can test USB cables to determine their quality, available speeds, and generation. You can check if they’re grounded properly, provide the correct voltage and current, and check if they have any faults.

While some of these devices might look a little intimidating to beginners, they're easy enough to understand once you've given them a try. The most expensive will be designed to tell you upfront if, for example, a cable is ready and capable of handling the more advanced USB-C functionality – fast-charging, in particular, isn’t one you’ll want to trust to a cable that isn’t up to the challenge.

I've put together a list of a few USB testers that I would recommend. These vary in price and functionality, from basic tests to check the line and data capabilities of a cable, with more advanced models acting as USB multimeters that are capable of checking if features like fast-charging are working.

These USB testers should give you a good idea of how reliable your cables are. Beginners will probably find it easier to use the models with USB screens, like the Fnirsi USB tester or the MakerHawk USB Multimeter, but you can't really go wrong with any of them.

One thing to point out, however, is that to test a cable, you need a sacrificial lamb of a device to use it with. While testers like these should feature fault detection to prevent any damage, I use an old phone as my test subject, just in case. You should also remember that a cable is only as good as the device you use it with, although the USB multimeters we've listed here can help you check these, too.

And, if you find a cable you can't trust? Don't try to repair it, don't try to salvage it. The best place for it is in the trash — it'll save a whole lot of heartache.

We are still in the midst of the ‘ram apocalypse’ with no relief in sight. There are signs that memory prices have finally leveled off, but they are still sky-high. While it’s grim to think that SSDs were a lot cheaper earlier in the year, prices like this won’t stick around for long, either. This Acer Predator GM7000 drive is now priced at £137.96 on Amazon’s website, but alternative drives with the same capacity, like the Samsung 990 Pro, are on sale for well over £200. This might be the last chance to score a branded SSD with 2TB of storage for less than £150 for some time.

In our Acer Predator GM7000 review, we concluded that this drive was a good all-rounder, sitting middle-of-the-pack for performance at the time, describing it as powerful and particularly compelling as a 2TB drive. Acer’s partnership with Biwin means it produces these drives, although they carry the Acer Predator branding.

This M.2 2280 NVMe drive offers PCIe 4.0 speeds, so it isn’t the fastest drive you can buy these days, but it does offer sequential read and write speeds of 7,400 and 6,700MB/s each. Those speeds compare favourably to the Samsung 990 Pro that we mentioned above, which is still the fastest Gen 4 SSD out there and one of our best SSD recommendations. It uses TLC NAND flash modules, made by Micron. This gives it a distinct advantage over cheaper QLC drives, which suffer from lower endurance ratings and slower raw write speeds.

In contrast, the Samsung 990 Pro offers read and write speeds of 7,450 and 6,900 MB/s apiece, and while there are other factors to consider, like sustained write performance and overall drive endurance, the sub-£140 price makes this Acer Predator rival a far more attractive option at the moment, especially if you're capped at PCIe 4.0 speeds. As far as endurance goes, this 2TB model is rated for 1,300 TBW (terabytes written), which sits well against its rivals, while a lengthy five-year warranty should offer additional peace of mind.

With memory manufacturers warning that prices will continue to rise, waiting isn’t an option unless you’re prepared to pay more. This £137.96 2TB Acer Predator GM7000 SSD is down to an affordable price, and offers a decent amount of storage, but expect it to sell out quickly.

There's one big advantage to the Meta Quest S3: it's standalone. That means you don't need a powerful PC or laptop to use it, or any at all, in fact, as it works independently. It uses Fresnel lenses, with three fixed adjustment settings, along with two LCDs, one for each eye, with a resolution of 1,832 x 1,920 and a refresh rate of up to 120 Hz. That works out to 773 pixels per inch, compared to the 1,218 ppi available on the more expensive Quest 3.

Specs-wise, the Quest 3 features a Qualcomm Snapdragon XR2 Gen 2 SoC, paired with 8GB of RAM. You can pick up models with more storage, but the £229.99 offer here is only for 128GB. You do get two motion controllers, but there aren't any of the added extras, like a carry case or strap, and you'll need to buy these separately. It comes with a 4,324 mAh battery, which should last around 2.5 hours while you play.

Any games you play will cost you extra, but you can use it to sit back and watch content in apps like Netflix, too. Luckily, three months of Meta Horizon+ is included here, allowing you to play more than 50 games from day one without needing to spend anything extra.

The Meta Quest S3 is a great standalone VR headset for beginners to try, and £229.99 sale price makes it one of the cheapest options out there. Amazon is still offering delivery before Christmas, so if you want to escape on Christmas Day into a new VR world, you've still got a few days to do so.

You’re paying just £379.99 for this MSI Claw handheld, which is less than half the price of its original RRP of £799.99, while only slightly more expensive than the entry-level 256GB Steam Deck LCD. The MSI Claw A1M is available in a few different variations, but this is the upper-tier A1M-016 model, featuring an Intel Core Ultra 7 155H processor, 16GB of RAM, and a 7-inch LCD display.

This MSI handheld, on paper, has a pretty decent spec sheet. That Intel processor features 16 cores, six of which are Performance cores, which are great for gaming. Overall performance on this particular CPU wasn’t as competitive when it launched, but MSI has issued several BIOS and Intel driver updates since to help close the cap and make it a more competitive Steam Deck rival.

One area in which this Meteor Lake chip scored well, at least in our benchmark testing in an Asus laptop, was for its GPU performance. This isn’t a completely like-for-like comparison as these machines feature totally different specs, but it does show that the Intel Arc chip, which has eight Xe cores, managed playable frame rates at 720p, and in some cases at 1080p, using medium graphics presets. That’s supported by the use of XeSS frame generation, Intel’s DLSS competitor, which is able to use AI to boost frame rates in-game, at least in games that support it.

The MSI Claw A1M-016 comes with 1TB of SSD storage, which is a formidable amount at this price point, along with 16GB of LPDDR5 RAM. The 7-inch screen uses an IPS panel with a 120Hz variable refresh rate and a 500nits refresh rate, and can manage resolutions up to 1,920 x 1,080. As we’ve mentioned, however, 1080p might be a struggle for this GPU in some instances, and you may find yourself switching down to 720p for improved performance.

Wi-Fi 7 support, along with Bluetooth 5.4, ensures a decent set of connectivity for this handheld to networks and wireless peripherals. It uses Windows 11, and while there’s no support for installing SteamOS (at least at the moment), the MSI Claw does support Microsoft’s new full-screen Xbox mode for these handhelds to make them easier to use. You can expect between one and two hours of battery life as you game with this device, although you can keep playing while you're hooked up to a charger using USB-C.

Time has proved kinder to this MSI Claw handheld than many may have anticipated, and MSI and Intel have both worked hard to improve gaming performance on this device. That, plus a price drop to £379.99, makes it an absolute steal compared to the competition. If you’re looking for a budget-friendly handheld for delivery before Christmas, you won’t find a better-priced model than this MSI Claw A1M right now.

With a £427.97 sale price, this Lenovo handheld is one of the more affordable ways to play PC games portably. Handhelds like this one are a great alternative to consoles, but also to a bulkier (and more expensive) laptop or PC. With delivery ahead of Christmas still available, this 21% discount is a saving worth considering.

Let’s look at the specs first. The Lenovo Legion Go S is on our list of the best handheld gaming PCs for a reason as a more powerful alternative to the aging Steam Deck. You can pick up the Legion Go S in two variants, but this is the cheaper model, featuring the AMD Ryzen Z2 Go APU.

The processor is one of the few physical differences between the two models on sale, aside from the price you’ll pay. The AMD Ryzen Z2 Go is a Zen 3+ processor with four CPU cores and eight threads, with a boost clock speed up to 4.3 GHz. The built-in Radeon GPU it features is RDNA 2-based with 12 compute units and a TDP of between 15 and 30W. Those specs make it a more powerful option than the Steam Deck’s Zen 2-based Van Gogh APU, which has four CPU cores and an RDNA 2 GPU with only eight compute units.

As our Lenovo Legion Go S with SteamOS review shows, the Z2 Go isn’t as powerful as the more expensive Z1 Extreme model, but it isn’t far off, and running SteamOS is certainly better than running it with Windows 11. Frame rates were playable in several intensive games we tested, including Cyberpunk 2077 at 800p, which was able to reach 50fps on average, while the same handheld running Windows 11 was only able to manage 32fps.

Alongside that AMD processor, you’re also getting 16GB of LPDDR5X-6400 memory and a 1TB PCIe 4.0 SSD. The Lenovo Legion Go S also features an 8-inch IPS display with a native resolution of 1,920 x 1,200 and a variable refresh rate of 120 Hz. You can game at 1200p on the Z2 Go, but better frame rates in resource-heavy games are available with a drop down to 800p.

While this isn’t an OLED like the similarly-priced Steam Deck OLED, it does offer a bigger screen (8-inch vs 7.4) with a higher native resolution and VRR support, alongside the already-mentioned superior gaming performance. You've also got a bigger battery, with the Lenovo Legion Go S featuring a 55.5 WHr battery, which, in our tests, was able to last for around two hours using the power saving profile.

SteamOS is the game-changer for handhelds like this Lenovo Legion Go S. While Microsoft is trying to improve the handheld experience on Windows 11, SteamOS continues to be the best and most lightweight option for handheld gamers, especially on lower-powered model like this. You’re also able to take full advantage of Valve’s efforts over recent years to improve Linux gaming on handhelds with the Proton compatibility layer, gaining immediate access to a huge range of compatible games on Steam.

With SSD and RAM prices soaring, if you’re looking for a portable and affordable gaming PC that’ll let you play through your Steam backlog, then this Lenovo Legion Go S handheld with SteamOS is one of the best options right now. That £427.97 sale price is the lowest we’ve seen so far, and if those chip prices start to affect handhelds in the new year, it might be the lowest we see for some time.

For just under £15 per TB, you're getting a traditional 3.5" hard disk drive inside its own portable enclosure. The enclosure features its own power supply, which you'll need to hook up to a nearby socket, while using a USB 3.0 cable to connect this drive to your PC or laptop for file transfers. You're also getting Seagate's Rescue Data Recovery service included, just in case your drive fails and you need to try to recover your data.

You'd usually pick up an external hard drive like this one if you weren't too worried about extremely fast transfer rates. This isn't an SSD, after all. It's also a good alternative to a full-blown NAS, and isn't as expensive.

If you're looking for a drive you can install directly into your PC, that's not totally out of consideration, either. Some of these enclosures use enterprise-grade Exos drives, which you can remove from the enclosure itself. You'll find the power and USB connections at the back of the drive, but as I mentioned already, you can't power this over USB. This needs the external AC power adapter to run, so make sure to keep a spare socket nearby.

You'll also need to be close enough to your PC or laptop. You do have an approx. 45cm USB 3.0 cable, so there is a little bit of length to play with here, although you can purchase a new data cable later. Setting this drive up should be as simple as plugging it into your PC or laptop, as long as it has power.

Should you run into any issues with the drive, especially if you think it's failed, you can call on Seagate's Rescue Data Recovery service, which guarantees you a single in-lab attempt by professionals to recover the data. There's no guarantee this will work, but it's nice to have the option to try, just in case.

The company's end-of-year sale gives Brits the chance to score a top-range 3D printer or bundle, along with filament spools and accessories, for an epically good price.

This UK-focused sale is live, right now, running from 5th December until 06:59 am on 5th January, 2026. Don't sit and wait, however, as there's no guarantee that the stock will last until then. There are already waitlists for some Bambu Lab 3D printers and accessories, with a wait until February in some cases before they'll go back on sale.

It also includes support for DLSS 4, allowing you to enjoy ray tracing with multi-frame generation in games that support it.

Fitted in this rig is an Intel Core Ultra 240H CPU, which has those 10 cores we mentioned previously. Those cores are split, with six performance cores that allow the best performance for gaming, as well as four efficiency cores, which you'll want for multi-threaded task work. It has a typical 2.5GHz clock speed, but this Raptor Lake CPU can boost up to 5.2GHz when you need it to.

You've also got a 16-inch display with a 144Hz refresh rate, giving this Asus V16 laptop a good amount of screen real estate to have several windows open at once. It runs better than 1080p, too, offering a 1,920 x 1,200 screen resolution with a 16:10 aspect ratio. You might still want to tweak down your graphics presets in-game while you're running at 1200p in the most demanding games to get the best frame rates, but the games themselves should still remain playable.

Cheaper laptops typically see you miss out on having enough RAM or storage, but there are no such compromises here. You've got a 1TB SSD, featuring PCIe 5.0 speeds, as well as 16GB of DDR5 SODIMM RAM. Let’s consider the elephant in the room first: performance. It’s fair to say that Intel’s Arrow Lake launch wasn’t a huge success for gamers, as our benchmarks below show, with performance that lagged behind AMD X3D rivals like the AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D, and even against Intel’s older Raptor Lake CPUs like the Core i9-14900K.

The value proposition improves further with the free MSI AIO. Our CPU cooling expert, who tested the MSI MAG Coreliquid A13 360mm cooler, awarded it 3 out of 5 stars. It doesn’t have a particularly flashy design, lacking higher spec features like LCD screens, but it does have a set of three ARGB fans to keep your CPU cool. Our tests found it offered good thermal performance, along with a budget-friendly retail price – luckily, you’re getting it completely free in this bundle, so it’s even better value.

And, just to top things off, there is the free game, thanks to Intel’s holiday bundle. Running until 31st January, 2026, you can claim a free copy of Battlefield 6, Dying Light: The Beast, Assassin’s Creed Shadows, or Civilization VI with each purchase. The approximately £60 retail value of these games, plus the £119.99 price for the MSI AIO cooler, makes the equivalent value of this Intel Core Ultra 7 265K CPU just £110.
