Sony to Have Live Webcast; Allowing 40 Fans Into E3 Event

Sony said on Thursday that it is allowing forty fans into the PlayStation E3 2013 Press Conference on June 10. The event will take place at the Los Angeles Memorial Sports Arena, and will be a first come, first serve basis. Fans are instructed to form a line along the parking lot next to the restrooms, and bring a valid ID, as only fans 21 years or older will be granted entry into an otherwise press-only event.

If fans are unable to attend, Sony plans to stream the show live Monday, June 10th at 5:30pm Pacific/8:30pm Eastern. The livestream can be accessed on the PlayStation Blog, PlayStation.com, Ustream, a full-fledged virtual E3 booth complete with livestream in PlayStation Home, Facebook, and Google Plus. The event will be streamed directly to the PlayStation 3 console via the What's New section in the XMB, and the Nico Nico video app on Sony's PlayStation Vita handheld.

"Starting Tuesday, June 11th at noon Pacific Time, we’ll kick off three days of our PlayStation LiveCast show featuring gameplay demos and developer interviews for zillions of upcoming PS4, PS3 and PS Vita games," the company said. "Expect to see Beyond: Two Souls from Quantic Dream, Destiny from Bungie, DriveClub from Evolution Studios, The Evil Within from Tango GameWorks, Gran Turismo 6 from Polyphony Digital, inFAMOUS: Second Son from Sucker Punch Productions, Killzone: Shadow Fall and Killzone Mercenary from Guerrilla Games, The Last of Us from Naughty Dog, Tearaway from Media Molecule, Wolfenstein: The New Order from MachineGames and many, many more."

The live E3 broadcast will be available in nine languages, and provide developers of the previously listed games with the best questions submitted to the PlayStation Blog here throughout the week. Fans who can't make the livestream will be able to view "heaping" live segments on the company's PlayStation YouTube page.

Or I could just go over to Best Buy for Nintendo's "event" and not have to stand in line hoping I'll be 40 out of 100000. Same deal with the stream since they always stream announcements in Nintendo Direct. Cool how I'm supposed to be impressed by Sony's last minute attempt to copy the strategy.

Typical, here is Sony trying to do something nice for people and as usual, the complainy, whiny ass people on the internet have to complain. Stop hating, and Nintendo, really? what are we 10?
