Ebay To Increase PayPal Protection
San Jose (CA) - Ebay will increase its anti-fraud protection limits for both buyers and sellers this fall. At the company’s annual conference, Ebay executives said buyers who use PayPal will be eligible for a full refund, with no cap, if they don’t receive the item. Previously, this was capped at $2000.
Sellers will have similar protections and will get a full refund (with no cap) if their charges are reversed if the buyer claims to not have received the item. The previous limit for this protection was $5000.
Ebay executives say these changes will take effect in the fall.
