Humble Bundle Teams Up With 2K Games For Borderlands Bundle Sale

The summer Steam sale might be over, but there are always more game sales to be had. Humble Bundle partnered with 2K Games to provide both Borderlands games and several DLC packs.

In this sale, for any donation of $1.00 or more, users will get a copy of the original Borderlands for PC, with three DLC add-ons: The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned, Mad Moxxi's Underdome Riot and The Secret Armory of General Knoxx.

Users who pay more than the average price (currently $4.43), will also unlock a copy of Borderlands 2 with three of its DLC packs, including Psycho Pack, Mechromancer Pack, and Creature Slaughterdome. In addition, customers will get a 75 percent off coupon to buy the Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel game at the Humble Store. More content will also be added for users who paid more than the average next Tuesday at 11am PT.

In the last price bracket, anyone who pays more than $15 will unlock an additional three DLCs for Boarderlands 2: Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack 2, Headhunter 5: Son of Crawmerax, and Season Pass. There is another coupon at this price, too, which gets 25 percent off any merchandise in 2K's online store.

As usual with Humble Bundle, part of the proceeds will go to charities. This particular sale by default sends 20 percent of any payment to the National Videogame History Museum. Sixty-five percent of the total goes to 2K Games, and the rest goes to Humble Bundle, but if you don't like these ratios you can manually decide who gets the money from your purchase between the three.

The sale will continue for the next two weeks, so if you don't have Borderlands and have been wanting to try it, here is your chance.

Borderlands is a great Co-op game , if you're looking for endless hours of fun with your buddies I definitely recommend you pick it up. My personal favorite game of the series is Borderlands 2 which is a very long and hectic game yet a lot of fun and my least favorite is the Pre-Sequel which is still loads of fun yet not as good as Borderlands 2 .

The DLCs ( most of them ) also are very fun and exciting additions to the game that you won't regret.

If you pick the gunzerker you can solo the games easily. Even the multiplayer stuff.

Is there much of a player base online for this game anymore, or are we just looking at either solo or friends? I've purchased way too many bundles where the online component is like a ghost town.

There's still a healthy amount of people on the forums that you can match up with.
