LG Launches 5.5-inch Gx in Korea

LG today confirmed the LG Gx, a 5.5-inch smartphone that joins the company's portfolio of Android devices. Unveiled in South Korea, LG didn't go into detail as to when (if at all) we can expect this device to launch outside of Korea.

The Gx packs a 5.5-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 as well as Qualcomm's Snapdragon 600 CPU (clocked to 2.6 GHz) and 2 GB of RAM. The device comes with 32 GB of internal storage along with a 13-megapixel camera, a 2.1-megapixel lens up front, Android Jelly Bean and support for 4G LTE. The battery rings in at 3140 mAh.

The device will be available in both black and white, and CNet reports that it may eventually make its way to Singapore and Hong Kong.

    Cool case with QuickWindow
'The new handset comes across as a supersized LG G2. The handset sports similar software features, such as Knock-On (where you double tap the screen to turn it on) and
has similar accessories such as the QuickWindow case.'

I lol'd hard at the 2.6GHz S600 SoC. LG never said the S600 SoC will be clocked at 2.6GHz. However, LG did say the phone will support 2.6GHz LTE.
