Following its habit, Oki has used the LED technology on the C3200 - a convincing alternative to laser in terms of speed but slightly behind in terms of quality, even if progress has been made in that area.
We tested a sample of the C3200 that is currently available only in Europe. Oki is still uncertain about whether to release the product in the US later this year. When we get confirmation of their plans, we will update our pages accordingly.
Ergonomics And Functions
Using a one-pass printing engine on the Oki C3200 hasn't had too much impact on the weight, which is still in the average. But its size, on the other hand, is quite impressive. The four toner cartridges and their associated drums are placed one behind the other under the upper part of the housing, which considerably increases the printer's depth. So you'll need room to install it.
The paper path, which takes an "S" pattern, is also a bit complex and sometimes caused jams with heavier-weight paper (more than 90 g). Since it uses the GDI language, the C3200 is compatible with Windows only and won't operate under Linux or MacOS.
