my friend is looking for a upgrade on a budget which of the combo would give better fps and future proofing i know that lga 1155 socket is dead but am3+ will have the steamroller(i suppose?)

also he won't be doing any overclocking so i was hesitant in recommending the
fx 6300 cause even a i3-3220 performs same as a fx 6300 at stock speeds

resolution 720p (he won't be upgrading his monitor)
8gb of ram
seasonic 500 watts psu

i know that for his resolution he does not need gpu like hd 7870 or gtx 660

games :-crysis 3, farcry 3, assassin's creed 3, bioshock infinite, witchers 2(all single players no mmo)
any help would be appreciated

As games are becoming better-threaded, I am reluctant to suggest a dual-core CPU, even hyperthreaded. I'd choose the i5-3450+GTX650Ti. Although games are generally more GPU-dependent, his resolution is low enough that the "weaker" GTX650Ti should do quite well. The CPU, otoh, will be a lot faster, use a lot less power, and therefor run cooler and quieter.
It is a tough call though; the FX-6300+GTX650Ti Boost would be good too.
There are too many people still running S775 and AM2+/AM3 rigs to make any consideration of a "dead" socket relevant.

if he gets 4gb of ram now and can upgrade it in a month he can get a gtx 650 ti boost 1gb if it is available
so do u think 1gb of vram would be enough and how much will the ram affect his fps

1gb should be enough especially since he's monitor has 720p res.

so do u think 4gb of system memory would be okay and how much will it affect performance
it seems logical to get a better graphic card and upgrade ram later as it is the easiest thing to upgrade

4GB is still enough, especially if he intends to do just one thing (e.g. play a specific game) most of the time, and isn't going to be jumping in and out of applications, or running a lot of other things (e.g. torrents, ripping music, Skype, IM, surfing) at the same time.

so final specs
i5-3450
gtx 650 ti boost 1gb
4gb ram
b75 motherboard

and do u think western digital blue 1 tb is good

Your choices are good. I have 2 WD Blue HDDs and I love them. Get one.

For now, stick with 4GB, but make sure it is 1 x 4GB; if you want to upgrade later.
