Hello, I'm a longtime reader of tomshardware and it has helped me immensely in the past. Just about every topic I've had trouble with in the past has been asked and given thorough answers.

However I can't seem to find this issue on the site.

My problem, specifically, is that my computer gives me the BSOD whenever I watch Netflix. Netflix only. And only Netflix. (The reason I reiterate this is for those of you searching "these terms" into google as I frequently do, maybe this will help you out too).

The error is "PAGE FAULT IN NONPAGED AREA" 0x00000000005 . I can fire up a game like League of Legends and play it for hours with NO PROBLEMS. It only happens with Netflix! Maybe it's my browser -- Chrome?

I've tried memtest and after 3.5 passes, 0 errors popped up. I've never had memory issues in the past and I frequently dust my computer. It also says my [display adapter is up to date when I search for new drivers.

Any help would be appreciated.

****I should also note that I get NO BSOD when I watch a video in WMP or VLC or run any other computer applications or p2p applications.

Might want to do a CPU stability test, [strike]memory test[/strike]. Could be finding an issue with your CPU or a memory flaw. Is your CPU overclocked?

Netflix doesn't seem to put any load on my GPU. I think it's a CPU demand item.

You could try re-installing Chrome I suppose. Perhaps even uninstall and reinstall Microsoft Silverlight if you have that. A lot of online video systems are beginning to use that too. Even outside of IE.

Both my buddy and I have noticed similar issues. I'm curious what kind of setup you have. I am running a three monitor setup, 2 connected via DVI, 1 connected via HDMI. Both of us crash when using Netflix for extended periods of time, but VLC seems to work just fine. Are you using multi monitors? if so, how are they connected?
