Please, I've scowered many a forum and review site, but can't find a definitive answer for this question. Is the 770 lightning worth the extra $40 over the asus one? Going to OC, want it quiet and cool.

If you check famous OC sites like HWBOT, Lightning cards from MSI always come out on top. So if you're into overclocking, pay 40$ more and get the MSI GTX770 lightning without hesitates.

From a performance stance, not really. I guess it costs more because it is faster out of the box but won't really matter if you are overclocking anyway.

Edit: Whether it is worth the extra money is subjective. I feel like it isn't but there are many who would definitely disagree. Go for it if you have the money, you get a great card either way.
