Go into the OC Tweaker Screen and find DRAM Timing Configuration there should be something about XMP. Or you could just manually set the timings / speed. Page 39 of your manual.

Your RAM is 9-9-9-(27) @ 1600MHz @ 1.65 V so you might need to bump up the voltage also. JEDEC for your ram is 9-9-9-(27) @ 1333MHz @ 1.5V which is probably what it defaulted to.

Thanks. For some reason the xmp settings isn't showing like in the screenshot in the manual. Is there anything I need to enable for xmp to appear? Yes it's defaulted to 1333MHz @ 1.5V. Speccy says 8.00GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 665MHz (9-9-9-24).

I'm not familiar with that specific BIOS, but is there an option to enable/disable overclocking in general? It might not show up unless overclocking is enabled.

Can't seem to find an option to enable overclocking. I was going to alter the ram timings manually but I can't find an option to change from 1.5v to up to 1.65v. Maybe I can't do it on this board.

On page 38 of your user manual, it shows a picture of the OC Tweaker that we need to know you're current settings. Can you tell us what you have for each setting (or get a screen capture somehow)?

Restart your PC. Press F2 or Dell to enter into BIOS.

On the main page there is a menu OC Tweaker right next to Main menu. Click it.

Locate DRAM Timing Configuration option there.

Under which you'll Load XMP settings. Select Profile 1,2 and save your settings and exit.

Restart the PC and check if it works.

I received an email response but I don't quite understand it. Shouldn't I be able to see the xmp option with these specs?

intel i7 2600 (not k)
Kingston8 GB 1600 MHz CL9 DDR3 HyperX Beast (2 x 4GB) - Intel XMP
Asrock B75M-DGS R2.0

"B75 chipset can support XMP profile , but due to the chipset limitation B75 chipset can  support up to DDR3-1600Mhz
http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/chipsets/business-chipsets/b75-express-chipset.html
If DRAM  frequency in XMP is higher than DDR3-1600, it will be blocked by ME and not shown in BIOS setup.

and the supported DRAM frequency  of Sandy bridge CPU is DDR3-1066/1333, so if you install it on non-Z platform the XMP option will not shown.

If you use an Ivy bridge CPU and DRAM with DDR3-1600 XMP profile , you can see the option in BIOS setup."

Hi,
According to this
http://ark.intel.com/products/52213/
Intel® Core™ i7-2600 Processor is Sandy Bridge not Ivy Bridge CPU. Sandy Bridge CPU only supports DRAM frequency DDR3-1066/1333 --> max 1333.
So, If DRAM frequency is higher than DDR3-1333, I think it will be blocked in BIOS.
