Hello,

I'm in need of some assistance.

I have bought a 2x kit of HyperX (Kingston) RAM. I am trying to load this into a MSI P55-GD65 mobo.

The orginal (working) RAM was a Corsair 1.50V 9-9-9-24 2gb per stick 1333mhz

The non-working upgrade is HyperX DDR3-1600 CL10 240 Pin (2x4gb kit)

When I installed the two new sticks on the board it will not boot at all, I can get it to the MSI startup screen and sometimes to the loading screen for the MSI but it will not go into the CMOS/BIOS menu. It some what freezes. If I install only one stick into the mobo, it would go into the BIOS menu (after a CMOS reset on the mobo), but after loading optimal CMOS defaults it will not boot windows 8.1. I have even tried to boot off of a USB rescue stick with the windows screen coming up after boot but then resetting the whole system then going into a loop???

I'm aware that the mobo will accept the 4gb sticks but I'm thinking that I need to setup the CMOS with the correct RAM setup, but I need help. I do not have the XMP function in the BIOS menu?

Any help with this would be great. Thank you in advance.

Rig Setup:

MSI P55-GD65 mobo
Kingston HyperX DDR3-1600 8gbs
