So I took out memory from my Lenovo thinkcentre it used to have 8gb but I needed 4 out and I left the 4gb stock ram in the computer. Now when I boot it up I get 2 fast beeps then it says error 0164 memory size decrease. Then gives me f1 for setup (BIOS) and f2 for boot. How do I get rid of the 2 beeps and the error 0164 message? Putting 8gb back into the system is not an option here. Oh everytime I hit f2 it will load win 7 pro like normal but when I turn off the computer and turn it back on again, the same problem arises again. Any help is much appreciated.

Solution
Press F1 to enter setup(BIOS).
Look for load setup defaults and select it.
Then save changes and exit.
If it still exist even after loading setup defaults then it must be configured manually inside the BIOS.

I replaced my backup hard drive and had to remove memory cards to remove the drive. I had previously upgraded memory a couple years ago without issue. I put the memory back in the correct slots and have now reseated 5 times. The first time the 4mb card had unseated and the installed memory showed up as 16mb. It is now correct at 20480mb which I have reseated 3 of these times. The last time, I popped all the cards and reseated. Both hard drives show up, original and new.. I am using a wired usb keyboard. The keyboard is inoperable and none of the keys including F1 and F2 do anything. Please help.
