FPS so low??

I honestly don't know what is happening. It was just another day of me playing Fortnite, when I logged on, I only had 13fps. I had everything the same as it was before, but for me to even get 60fps I have to put everything on low and I'm obviously not doing that. I have tried everything from reinstalling my harddrive to full resetting my pc, but nothing is working!
My Specs:
GTX 1060
IQ-6700hq 2.6ghz 6 core
Samsung 125gb SSD
SATA 1tb HD
16gb ddr4 ram

Yes it does happen in other games. I just ran a diagnostic that said my gpu had a problem, and that is would be fixed after I restarted my laptop. Didn't get fixed. And i am in the middle of installing a driver now, do you think ti is something with my harddrive?

We can only pray that it is not the GPU. Hard drive- related issues usually occur after a drop. Are you sure that everything was running smooth before the problem?

Before the problem officially started, my laptop seemed to be using more power in general. It would overheat and freeze often, and the fans were also getting much louder than usual. I have a feeling it is the hard drive, because I have a history of hard drive problems with my laptop. But would switching my (second) SSD back to the original hard drive model the laptop came with make it better, or would the overheating continue?
