Hi everyone,
Ive been lately thinking on upgrading my pc,
these are my current pc spec:
Intel i7 4770K
Giga H97M-D3H
GTX 970
16 Gb DDR3 1600 Kingston Hyper X
SSD Kingston V300 120 GB
1 Tera Western DG HD

My plan on upgrading my pc consists on getting a new CPU and GPU, and those are the Ryzen 5 1600 3.6ghz, and a GTX 1070 8GB, is the upgrade worthy for some nice 1080p gameplay editing and streaming. I know for a fact that the GTX 1070 fits well with my Motherboard though IDK about the CPU?? is it a good upgrade?. im in a budget of 1000 so i thought these where the best options for a for 1000$
thanks for reading!!

Do you do any higher-end video work or things like Monte Carlo simulations? The 4770k is still an excellent CPU to pair with a 1070. Do you currently have a 1080p/60hz monitor? You might get more gaming bang for your buck to get a 1070, a 144hz 1080p monitor with GSync, and worry about a platform upgrade a couple years down the road.

The Ryzen CPU will not work with your motherboard. You would need a new Motherboard, Ram, and the CPU. IMO not worth it over what you have, its not much faster.

Just get the GTX 1070 and a nice 100hz or 144hz monitor. The CPU you have now is fine for it.
