Just bought this set of RGB Fans:

https://www.amazon.com/Aigo-Performance-Adjustable-colorful-Controller/dp/B07CGH9CZL/ref=cm_cr_arp_d_product_top?ie=UTF8

Installed them in my case today, connecting them with a 6-pin to the included fan hub. The fan hub is connected to the PSU through a molex connector. After turning on my PC, the fans spun, as expected, but the LED's didn't turn on and the remote does not seem to be working, i.e doesn't seem to be changing the fan speeds and doesn't turn on the LEDs. Obviously the hub is working because the fans spun up as usual. Whenever I press a button on the remote, a red light on the end pops up, so obviously the remote is working. I guess all three fans could be defective? What could be the problem? Does anyone have any experience with these fans? There were four 4-pin connectors on the hub labeled, "LED" as well, but I didn't think they were necessary, as there were no 4-pin cables included with the fans. Any information and advice is appreciated. Thanks.

If they're connected as you've stated, then the issue could be pinned to the hub/controller(not the remote). Most of them are hit or miss, I would ask that you either contact the seller or Aigo straight away and see if it can be resolved. The 4 pin connectors are for LED strips, not the LED on the fans. You will need to connect to the 6pin to get both fan RPM and fan lighting to work in unison(and the remote).

So most likely the controller is defective? Is there anything else I should try before I make the decision? I bought them from Newegg so I should be able to return them.

I note two items in the product descriptions that should be checked. First, the fan SPEEDS cannot be controlled in this system, although OP has not said that is the problem. More important is the sequence of connecting the fans. Each MUST be plugged into a 6-pin FAB port on the controller. ALSO, they must be plugged into ports starting with #1 and continuously after that. There can be no skipping of port numbers.

As Litfij said, the LED ports are not involved at all - they are for separate RGB lighting strips.
