High idle CPU temperatures

I have an i7-8520k with H110i GTX cooling it in NZXT 450 case. It is soon 3 year old setup.

I noticed im getting 68C as idle temps. I cleaned all dust filters and such and changed thermal paste, but it did not make it lower. But when i open the case, the side and the front, i get 10C lower temps, but i still think 58C is rather high for idle temp?

Any suggestions to what might be causing this?

Too high.
You should see 10-15c. over ambient at idle if your cooler is mounted well and functioning.

What is your fan setup?
What is your graphics card?
Is your radiator set to take in outside air or inside air?
Getting cooler when you open the case tells me there is something wrong with your setup.

Possibilities:

Your pump is not running well.
Your coolant loop is restricted.
The pump is not screwed down evenly and is not seated well.
A fan is not turning.

If you orient the radiator to take in outside air, you will cool the cpu better at the expense of heating up the motherboard and gpu.
