Windows 10? Please pass on the make and model of your laptop.

Try and locate battery in Device Manager and uninstall ACPI Battery and the AC Adapter listed in it. Reboot the laptop and see if the issue is averted. You could also try and perform a repair install. Similarly, you can backup your critical content and reinstall your OS after recreating your bootable media.

Ofc the first suggestion I've given would entail that your laptops battery can be removed or that there is a button under the laptop to temporarily disconnect the laptops battery.
